Outdoor clone question

First time using clones..

So I got some GSC and Blue Crack clones from a local club and I have them sitting in my closet on a 18/6 schedule. Would the first week of may be too soon to transfer them in the ground after I 'harden' them?

I live in So Cal and by May 1st I should be getting 13.5 hours of sunlight.

14 hrs trigger

14 hrs trigger

id say wait till may 15th ,as both those strains trigger at 14 hrs light
from seed youd be ok as they need build maturity
but as cuttings already have maturity i think it would set them off then try reveg as days get longer.A

i did some experimenting outdoors in sohum. we started putting clones out successively from may to aug. we found that putting clones out in natural light without supplemental light before june 1st was too soon. i dont have a varietal breakdown but it was several strains. the next year we stuck to june 1st as the magic date and had no preflower issues ever again. i didnt grow outside there again but we shared our date with all our clone shy friends who all had given up after chasing their tails with the lengthing veg room dark period tediously til it was closer to the outside only to have it preflower.waiting til june worked well for everyone we talked to. then a friend in oregon told me it didnt work for her the first year she finally tried clones. she said she waited til june 1st. two years in a row. it just so happened that those two years were hella fucking grey rainy early junes. the sohum folks had no problem just the sooregon folks humboldt was sunny enough. grey dreary dark clouds can affect that date. dont do the horrible light cycle adjust in veg. it does nothin. you take 24/7 or 18/6 lighted veg clones and put them in a SUNNY feild(not a grey rainy field) on june 1st they do the same thing. seed plants dont do this because they have not sexually matured. it takes a couple months at least. thats why you can plant seed plants and they veg merrily along til june without flowering. but clones are as sexually mature as their mother plant.

well that kind of sucks. I've got 5 clones in rockwool for a week now with no signs of wilt or color change. I was hopeing to move them to the porch in april but it appears I'm 2 months early. this is florida and our gray days will be over next week. you have any advice on these 5 plants. my light is a 150 hps.

put em in soil and continue to veg them til june theyll be huge if you jump to a bigger hid or a t5. i wouldnt put em ou til june unless youre going to expose them to a little light in the night cycle either breaking it with an hour in the middle of the dark or on the dawn or dusk side of the dark.
