Hey man I was just reading over your and freds convo about the ceilings... and it make a big difference with vertical lighting to have the ceilings covered in reflective material. Not so much horizontal. My vert rooms are significantly brighter with the ceilings covered.

thanks calientecarlos,
i'm working in the room today, lowering lights slightly into the donuts, as I believe stretch is coming to an end.
also im "rape & shape"ing (as HGO put it) or "canopy management" as DHF has been telling me.
rearranging the room also, found some suuuupeeer streeeeecteeeey pehno's of my flo crosses this time, def more sativa as those 2 are also showing sensitivity to nutrients.

D

DHF

HGO liked my "rape and shape" statement way back when , so it`s part of his advice column subject every time someone asks about how extreme his pruning/trimming/shaping is , and as yas said Bro.....

It`s canopy management to prevent flarfy bullshit underneath and behind if needed , and I always tried to take care of my shit before the flip as far as hackin back laterals and getting rid of sucker branches , but it`s all good my buddy.......and.....

Most folks aren`t disciplined enough to get rid of everything that NEEDS got rid of once they see lil budlets all over the shit that needs gone to send vital plant energy after end of stretch to the dominant limbs/laterals and colas........anyways.....

I do see some premature yellowing in some of the plants as well as the cute lil yogi cups......regardless........ overall them`s some healthy lookin girls Avi........

Keep up da good work with HGO`s "rape and shape" tactics....pays off in the long run , bet on it........sideways canopy management is everything come Harvey time...so.....

Good luck Bro....Freds......:ying:.....

Hey Avi, in your post #242, the first pic... You've been quite hard on the ladies lower growth. Whats the reason for going THAT hard on them?

ya ran out of micro last week, gave one watering w. just liquid koolbloom (0-10-10), the chunky D is needing that N back asap.
I'm all restocked on my micro, got bloom.... they should be fine... I would like to use powder koolbloom this round....

trust me
it isn't as thinned out as it looks, these plants in this pic are nearly 5 feet tall now.... and i've only cleaned up the bottom 8 inches (ten inches max).
I'm doing what i've been suggested here by DHF & HGO, that's my reasoning....
altho
I've seen vert bare bulb grows get 2+ per light with NO thinning at all, wsn't a terrible stress to trim either. Was with the temple Flo cut....

so i've been taking out lower larf action on other donuts also...

been pruning & thinning under growth & bigass older fan leaves.... just removing a few leaves at a time, no major defol at all, im pretty minimalist but i do FORCE myself to do to it so I'm not cursing the lil larfy buds come harvest.

ya, that chunky D needs plenty of N & mag, plus the tange still giving me some problems w leaf curl and (what looks like) mag or iron deficiency. BUT we will see what they look like as the show gets started in here & things bulk up. got my fingers crossed for this tange strain, cautiously optimistic; however, in my gut i feel like the tange wont make the cut in my room, especially considering seeds i have & could crack & cuts i have recieved recently. (GSC, Rugburn OG, & Master Kush - all killer cuts)

re-upped my base nutes, fed w full strength lucas formula today, plus floralicious & calmag.

this pic gives you an idea of the "rape & shape" / canopy management goin on in here.

hopefully this yellowing will stop, fed plenty of N plus cal mag.... chunky D is loves the nutes too much & needs more, tange hates them.... flo & flo crosses can take it just fine at dosage im giving...
