what are your goals and set up?

are you trying to slow vertical growth? grow a tree? maximun yield?

point source lighting? multiple lights? bare bulbs or fixtures?

I should have scrogged mine. Tried for one cola every 6 inches. She would have yielded very nicely. :)
She responded quickly to 12/12 lighting, so veg her up pretty good before the flip.

k I want to get maximum yield.

for my lighting I have two 400mh lights in a 5x8x7 foot room for vegging .. and in my flower room 8x10x7 foot room I have two 1000 watt hps lights. all the lights are in vented hoods.

Hey Baddagger,I would like to offer a suggestion.Check out the vertical section in the growers forum. If you are running 2x1k I recommend donuts using screens to train the branches. You can top your plants and grow large trees while contoling the stretch with vert bulbs and maxing out light intensity. It is worth the time reading through the numerous threds on the topic.

Cheers and good luck with your African ladies!

Edit; I over looked you are just runnig 2 plants,so in that case you could stay horizontal and scrog them.Use large pots.

Cheers PB

Greetings baddagger,

Malawi is a sativa and it´s better to top sativas, veg them a bit more and let them branch strong again to maximize their yields indoors. Just dont let them grow too tall so you can light correctly the whole plant.
