Cloning for kids

My buddies wife has a windowsill full of bottles, she just takes cuttings of ivy and other house plants and clones them just like that. Takes for ever but she has made her house much more green on the inside using this technique starting with just a few plants.

My grandpa always just stick them in water and I also know a lady with a plant that obviously don't need much water cause she will get cuttings from it and let them root and then just let them sit on the edge of a window sill till it has enough roots to give away or finds a spot outside to out it ... A lot of times they grow under the window since there just laid on the window will and wired thing is the roots turn woody cause of exposure to sunlight but we got one for her and put it in the middle of one of our rock gardens and laid a little dirt over it and it found its way into the ground on its own ... My wife usually kills everything and when she told me how she planted it I thought It would be dead and now it's taking over lol and here I was hoping it would die since it was so plain looking but hardy for sure .... Plants are decently smarter then most of the people I know lmao
