SecondAttempt's first attempt at PPKs...

After inspecting with my new scope I see no pests.

Everybody but the Confidential Cheese looks much better this afternoon... I'm going to keep her in there as an experiment for now. I have a few moms I could select from to put into her site at flip if she hasn't recovered. My Conf. Cheese yields for shit but the quality is amazing so I was giving her one last shot to see if the PPK would make her shine, so far not so much.

Thanks for all your help IF, you're a saint.

Saint IF! i like the sound of it.

it looks like you did not pre-charge your coco. you should do a one time pour through before you put a plant in coco. ec 4 or 2000 ppm into an already wet medium from rinsing.

also the 6/9 formula is not suited for recirculation like IF said and even the 8/16 is too light on nitrogen, magnesium and calcium for coco.

if you take the flora at 8/16 and add first 50 ppm magnesium sulfate and then 100 ppm calcium nitrate this will all clear up. you should end up with around 900-1000 ppm.

you need jack's! it's not hype, it's really that good!

Everything you say is gospel... the coco I did precharge definitely was nowhere near EC 4... I've been holding off on pulling the trigger on Jack's but I think these pictures back up everything you just said D9.

Here's some updated pics...

Best plant... I've never seen growth like this before

This is that Confidential Cheese that we puuled back from the brink of death.

Bushes... wider shallower containers rock.

Haven't really sorted out the details

I'm sitting on
16 Dutchgrown Brainfreeze
6 Fractal genetics Strawberry Diesel Kush
6 HOL Casey's Queen
... I have 4 of each going now, going to throw them in the PPK room when I flip the light and throw a horizintal 400 over them, just going to have to watch very carefully for balls.

5 Afgan Jam X Trainwreck
6 Reeferman JoJo Kush
3 Reeferman GDP
9 Reeferman Skunk

I have coming shortly
10 Gran Daddy Purple originals
10 GDP Phantom Cookies
20 GDP Bay 11
11 Serious Seeds Warlock

and about 40 other misc seeds

probably pop 4 of each... keep the rest as backup for awhile.

I also rock a pretty serious veggie garden outside... so that's a hobby. I was thinking of doing a tomato PPK with minimal attention during the season just to test for possibly a guerrilla grow one day. Although I'm currently legal so that would be a step backward for me.

The Confidential Cheese that I was afraid wouldn't make it

Might even yeild this time... fingers crossed

I don't even know where to begin with defoliating this bush

seriously... plants used to grow slow enough that I could tie them to the screen as they grew... I have to remove so much material from these plants I'm not too confident in my ability.

On a plus note I used to check on the grow 2-4 times a day, everyday. I have taken a few days off in the last week and everything is just humming along.

Good looking turn around.

Don't let them get too crowded.

I'd like to recommend that you start working on the canopy training, and defoliate only as you need to to better understand what your structure is doing.

You can only help the plant if you can see what your doing.

So don't worry so much about canopy density as canopy structure, and only defoliate to the extent that you need to to see and understand the canopy.

That's what I was thinking. I don't need them wider, I need them taller so initiating stretch and changing the hormones should work to my advantage. It's going to get interesting quick, thanks again IF and D9.

Anybody have any experience buying a grow tent off ebay? I was going to rebuild my room into a few smaller rooms(one donut each) after this run but my buddy bought a tent the other day and it got me thinking how much easier it would be to just run a couple tents.

He got his tent at a brick and mortar locally but they don't have the size I want.. 6.5X6.5X6.5, so I found these. The plan would be to run 2 tents side by side 4 weeks apart with 2k stacked down the middle on a flip flop. Plants would be vegged in a separate room, but I'm working on my new PPK veg setup which is amazing. Prototype pics to follow in a day or two.

As always input is welcomed and appreciated.

Oh and today will be day 1 of 12/12, lets hope these bitches stretch.

Don't do it!

2x4's, orca, and pond liner are all you need. Much more solid, and you get to custom design your space.

That's the thing my room is currently 2x4s, 2x3s and panda film but I hate it. I was going to rebuild with foam insulation board but I'm only running here until the end of the year(ish) so that would be more to remove during tear down. Also I can pop the tents up with the quickness vs building from scratch. I need to ramp up production hard to get out of here quick.

If I was here permanently I would totally build. We are trying to get to Maine because it doesn't look like our state is going to be doing MMJ the right way.

Donut 2... really looks like a donut

That far plant in the white tub is the Confidential Cheese we saved... WOW!

My build is flawed because it is rigid, not a lot of flexibility for moving sites out. The lights will move vertically on a mover though and I may grab some nylon netting to reign shit in. So far no burning but damn the lights are close, I move them up a few links of chain each day and the plants just reach for them.

Still contemplating tents, I will need to run the lights offset if I want to battle the summer heat.
