How to SCROG????

K

kooldave67

This wouldn't be a so much "how to scrog" but more of how to train your plant. A lot of gardening is done by "fanning" your plants. This would be a good way to train but a lot of people perfer defoliaging,bending...etc... Hope this helps

You do not weave the plant through the screen. Just pull the tops under the screen and allow the side branches to grow back through.

in my case i just bent the stems over to the screen and twistie (bread wrapper ties) tied them to the screen.

if you use this method be sure to use plastic ties as the paper ones will just cause you problems if and when they get wet.

very easy...you must remember your plant is strong...even if you snap the branch you can attach and bind or clone... but scrog is great for growing massive plants or sativa dominant plants in not a lot of space..

What he said.
As the plant vegs, you'll have to periodically train the new growth under the screen. For example, if your plant has 2inches of new growth climbing towards your light through the screen, you simply pull it back under the screen and route it so that further growth will fill up more screen space. This allows the screen to train the plant over the course of the veg stage, giving more surface area for bud sites and evenly distributing the light across the canopy so you can get more bang for your buck.

best way to scrog is to grow plant, train as in super crop, fim etc to desired height place under screened table flip to flower first 2 weeks of flower mode super crop all tops and keep tucking under your screen i prefer using a string type of screen @ 4" x 4" as plant stretches keep placing all tops further apart into there squares more or less stretching plant wide with proper training you can fill a screen full normally flip when 3/4 of screen is full hope this helps you out

I been tucking my trellis since I started and I like weaving them better you get more tops.
These were topped twice in veg and tucked and weaved for the first 10 days of flower

Ones on left

Here you can see the weaving

Hope this helps

you may find some of my threads help (links in my sig)

really the best way to learn is to try it - it will increase your yield even if you do a poor job of it. you soon learn how it works.

remember that the stretch after flipping to flower will help fill the screen unless you have a very non-stretchy strain.... so dont veg too long.
