Bare with me, new to indoor:
What is optimum distance for T5 and 400 watt lights to the plants? Is it more of a heat issue or is it possible to overload the plants with too muchlight?
Thanks

T5s or really any fluorescent needs to be kept close...think a few inches...like 2 - 4. You can burn (heat) the plant if it touches the bulb. Too much light from T5? No, don't think so...no problem unless you touch. One thing to remember about T5...it will only grow well what is directly under the fixture and a couple inches to the side maybe...but best is right under. It gets larfy very quickly outside of the fixture area.

Take a look at PAR T5 - aquarium bulbs of different spectrums and see what you can do. Good luck. :)
