WASHINGTON -- The Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that police cannot bring drug-sniffing police dogs onto a suspect's property to look for evidence without first getting a warrant for a search, a decision which may limit how investigators use dogs' sensitive noses to search out drugs, explosives and other items hidden from human sight, sound and smell.

hmmm it seems they rely on the dog making a stop,or a officer telling it to.they also stated they needed to keep records of their dogs training and work.challenging them could work.
ok so hypotheticly what if the house owner has evidence that all dogs or most of them stop near his house to do their bisness a defence could be,"i have to go out there all the time to pick it up to keep my side walk clear" "i wanted to catch the owners in the act thats what prompted the survailence camera".
perhaps the use of hunters cents ect... it could produce all the records you want on your behalf.

"you see your honor this sort of thing happens all the time".

thanks for the article TR
