Yes some grows out there are just for profit. But when the MMAR program started there was supposed to be inspections, which would have kept this under control.

When you hold 3 licenses and grow a large number of plants 10 lights is certainly within reason.

I think that if proposed changes go through there will be old Med patients who get busted growing who the courts will either dismiss charges or not even bother to file. , I would rather beg for forgiveness than ask for premission,.

They are busting med patients{there is all kinds of strange situations!} taking them to courts or trying to scare them into pleading guilty it is sickening.Instead of a inspector the Cops showing up with guns in face of a med patient, it is absolutely crazy how one second it is all good and fine and then bam you are evil grower just like that cause some one who does not know anything about growing thinks you are bad mmkay. I know from personal experience i am fighting for the rights of all of us to grow our meds in court, in canada{please dont ask it will come out soon enough}. this is very costly and stressful. The police have become a wing of the corporate elite. Every neighbor and community member i have talked to about my situation, is absolutely disgusted with the police and the mmra program. They leave sick folks in limbo over paper work that has been the same for years{for some reason i dont think my spinal cord injury is going away any time soon}. So why the constant renewal?
I got a call from a mom last night with a autistic son{10}. She is out of options with western meds. So they want to try cannabis for violent outbursts. There are tons of folks that need help. For some reason more papers and news sells when folks focus on the bad. I guarantee there are more folks benefiting from the program then there are those for the sole purpose making money. perspective is everything. Our leader need a good dose of reality and some of the things that sick folks live through on a daily basis. peace free the weed

Everything the Conservatives do is designed to take money out of the pockets of ordinary Canadians and give it to the the multinationals.

What is wrong if Joe Blow on the street makes a bit of money off it? He'll be the one who spends it within his community, supporting businesses and creating jobs.

The corporations move most of their profit offshore into tax havens. This is indisputable fact. The biggest corporations pay very little, if any, taxes. Many receive government subsidies paid for by the taxpayer. Meanwhile the Conservatives continue to lower the tax rate for corporations.

This change to medical marijuana makes perfect sense in this context. First of all shut down and imprison the small grower. Then raise the price of medical cannabis to $10/gram and only allow Big Pharma to profit off it.

Their limitations are immoral. Grow as much as you can and look favorably on ALL that your neighbors grow. The more that is produced the cheaper and more available cannabis will be to those in need. And the more that is produced and consumed the better for society as a whole.
