Hash and Opium

I don't belive it's common at all today,but some people claim that hash adulterated with opium is impossible, however I have read and heard many times about black afghan hash from the 80's early 90's that contained "white lines of opium". Anyone have anything to share about this? A chemical analysis or something would be nice but I would also like to hear first hand accounts about any "adulterated hash" or the mentioned afghan product.

i have a curiosity about the topic, so subbing for the expert opinions
i will say that the white lines of opium don't sound right, opium is not supposed to be white, at least not usually
sounds more like heroin, which i suppose is possible

then you would know opium is more expensive then hash and marijuana put together,,so for it to be adulterated or laced with opium is ludacris...and out right funny

and yes if it had white lines it would be heroine not opium...raw opium is the shit..haha

Man my uncles have been opium addicts their whole life.... they hate weed with a passion because they say regular cannabis is 2 strong..let alone hash...the effects are nothing alike....Opium is worth alot more money that hash... they may look similar in pictures...but the texture and smell are so different....

Ive smoked opium the way my fam smokes it...str8 free base mode...and i couldnt see what all the hype was about.... shit is whack...hash is way better than any form of Opium unless your a junkie...

I understand that in the countries of origin the price of hash and opium can sometimes be very similar depending on how the market is.

i'd think that it's possible to try to enhance quality to some degree
better products sell more easily, even if it takes some extra cost to make them
now i have no clear idea on what a mix would do, i know that opium normally doesn't smoke the same as hash, i.e temps and all that
but GI's used to smoke heroin in tobacco/cigarettes

Yeah I've seen people smoke opium with cannabis, might not be the most effective method but it works.

Putting a lighter to Opium kills all of its properties that really get you going.... Thats why you have to free base it...

Maybe it's the heat from the burning material that vaporizes it, I have no idea, but I have seen it and it works.

what i have seen in the description of the MJ joint smoking process is that the MJ resin effectively boils/vaporizes as you puff
some gets trashed from too high a temp, but obviously enough gets through

you don't freebase it...you heat it, until it vaporizes,,i tried smoking it so many times..wasted a lot..finally figured out...take a rolling paper, take a lil bod( 0.2-0.3 of a gram) wrap it in the paper and swallow..make sure to have an empty stomach or you won't get full effects...and you are in la la land...but you have to be careful can get quite addictive..i am lucky to not have an addictive personality..

unless the opium has been properly prepared for smoking..its a waste to even try

my uncles would take a metal hanger and let a blow torch turn it glowing red...the opium is on a metal paper clip...and they'd smoke off a homemade hookah....cheap fucken tinfoil bowl piece with a straw....pathetic shit....but yeah...Ive seen people go from Multiple nice homes and lots of money to broke and living in motels ....all from Opium...that shit is a no no

The real Deal Opium is hard to get ever since 9/11...b4 then they were getting alot of it shipped from over from Iran ..who got it from Afghanistan....

My uncles went to Mexican Opium from there...then to heroin...then str8 tweeker/Crack...

Smoking Cannabis is the only way to do it ...fuck all other nasty shit

i am from the uk,and back in the day 15 + years ago now and then we would get a 9 bar of resin that would just clean take your head off,every joint,seemed like every puff just took you away from where you were lasted for hours and hours.we gave it a name, mad man bars,people still mention it every now and then around xmas time, as that was when we first got it to the people.my conclusion was that it may have got contaminated whilst being smuggled into the uk with heroin coke or something else.but the funny thing is that nobody ever says it was the best resin they ever smoked.it was too different !

I think I remember reading, in Hashish maybe, that those white lines in the hash that were believed to be opium... where in actuality mold...

also, from what I hear, the manufacturers of opium and subsequently heroin (which I have no personal experience with either substances) have something like 10 years surplus of product and only release so much to the market to at a time to keep prices artificially high...

meaning,

if they wanted to they "could" afford to lace their hash with a little extra just to get rid of some of the surplus while stretching their hash supplies and possibly even make their hash somewhat addicting? but that is just an idea
