Ventilation dilemma

I was hoping I could get some help with the ventilation for my new SOG room that will have 2 x 1000W and possibly 4 x 1000W in the future.

The size of the room is ~1000ft3. It's not heated, so in the winter the room is cold and in the summer it barely gets warmer than 70F.

I've been looking at a 470CFM fan after reading the Ventilation 101 thread... or at least the easy parts, 5 min/air change. But I got an advice to up it to 800-900CFM.
I don't want to have too much power to stress the babies and I don't want problem with mold and so on either.

What do you guys say?

The general rule is about 400 cfm per 1k. So an 8" inline (I like vortex) would be the fan I would use w/ 1k. But if you're planning on adding a couple more lights soon then....

Probably best to just buy the biggest fan/filter that ya can afford. If it turns out to be too much, ya can put it on a speed controller. Overkill is underated.

Airflow ain't gonna stress the plants. Lots of folks recomend exchanging all growroom air 2x per min.

Great!

The biggest fan it is then with a controller. Thanks for the answer :)

Oops. That was supposed to say 8" for 2K. Sorry. It was a typo that I didn't catch.

May also want to look into "duct mufflers" (diy or store bought). A vortex fan itself is pretty quiet, but the air rushing in/out can sound like a jet turbine.

Thanks!

The Can Fan I'm looking at actually has a builtin silencer, even though it's not that big of a concern. The area where the fan will be is already quite sound proofed. Every bit helps though :)
