That's why I stopped QWISO'ing, Hydro, the raspy throat. Gonna try Everclear one of these days even if I can only get the 150 proof...It'll still work, just a little more water to purge than the 190.

In S.E. Asia one can get 99.8% absolute ethyl alchohol for about 3$ for a 450ml bottle - just have to order from a pharmacy. I have only used home distilled moonshine to make oil, which has at least 15% water, so I am looking forward to doing a quick wash with absolute alchohol - hopefully cleaner and tastier end product.

One of our non resident students shared his procedure for making his own 194 proof in our Alcohol Extraction class yesterday, for those of ya'll who live where you may legally do so.

He mixes 10 pounds of cracked corn from the feed store, with 50 gallons of water and 50 pounds of sugar, before adding distillers yeast. He adds 1 lb of wheat germ to feed the yeast and adjusts the Ph to 6.5 if necessary, using citric acid.

After fermentation, he uses a simple pot still to strip the alcohol from the wash, and then runs it through a compound refluxing still to produce 194 proof.

I've ordered 190 proof from alchemical solutions and had good results. they now carry 190 proof cane alcohol that is 225$ for 5 gal. pricey on the hazardous shipping though....

Saturday we extracted a split sample of frozen dried Cheese bud in class, using both QWISO and QWET techniques.

After doing a quickwash extraction, we cold boiled away the alcohol in thin films at 115F at -29.9" Hg and the OMMP students that wished sampled the two side by side extractions.

Everyone didn't sample both, because of driving considerations for some of them on the QWISO, which was done as the last presentation in our class and finished last.

Both were close to transparent in thin films and produced a hard resin when cooled.

Both were declared both tasty and free of alcohol taste.

Of the five students who tested both, one student, or 20% stated that he liked the more robust flavor of the QWISO best. 80% liked them both.

It was a mixture of GDP, Mendo Purps, Master Kush, Goo, Green Crack, and Pot of Gold. A friend made this bubble hash with a small washing machine. It was not that great, only bubbled. I made him a trade, and cleaned it with Everclear 190-proof.

I grew a clone of his GDP and had the flowers tested @ 22%+ THC!
