from what i've read Kripto was made /grown by K@ tricombe technoliges ( sp) not had the pleasure of growing, but it looks amazing, indica with serious frost.

The REAL(?) Kryptonite

The REAL(?) Kryptonite

I realize this is an old thread, but since I am growing "Kryptonite" at the current moment I thought I would add some information.

Apparently, Kryptonite (Killer Queen x The Purps?) is often confused with "Kryptonite OG" (the latter is just another fancy name for an OG hybrid, presumably referring to its heavily triched appearance and ridiculous potency).

The Kryptonite is listed as an Oaksterdam strain, and its flowering time is given as 7-8 weeks. While she may look done between 7 and 8 weeks, she could probably be pushed to 9 weeks for a larger yield and heavier stone.

I find her structure relatively leafy, with a high leaf to calyx ratio-- which means she's a pain in the ass to trim. However, the nugs are rock hard and the buds and bud-leaves are OOZING with trichomes. One of the frostier strains I have grown.

True Kryptonite does not smell or look reminiscent of OG in any way, shape, or form. Rather, Kryptonite exhibits beautiful purple hues during mid-late flower, and smells extremely fruity (more akin to Purple Diesel), not "kushy" like an OG.

Anyone else have any experience growing Kryptonite? Pics?

which one lol? First time I smoked Kryptonite was told it was a haze hybrid, and it had the taste to back it. Was an older strain iirc, from mid-90's era.

I hope you guys aren't just talking about Crypt, now being called Crippler, soon to be named and told stories about by multitudes of people!

I have been told 3 times now by people, "I started this plant" and they tell me some laughable totally made up story about its lineage....,

Its adorable, they actually have absolutely no idea they are talking to the person who held it for so long and gave it back to the world...

American Crippler is NOT kryptonite, But it did show up in the Oregon clubs this weekend in the south. When I asked bout genetics, no idea, lmfao, looks like the one I get, not as pretty, same yeller green tinge. In my neck of the woods, only a few people have it and the patients are selling to the clubs and its pissin the growers off that are trying to help the patients with this good cut. Good news is in some buds, there are enough selfed seeds to keep it goin, just like the OG's, woooohooooo. rename it, and we got us a new strain, genetics unknown, wooohooooo. LMFAO

I got it from this guy in 2006, me and one other person held it, other person lost it.
I donated my entire gene pool to a good friend when I left the area in '09.
When I got back in '12 it had leaked out and now people have jumped allll over it..


The above fella didn't have any explanation for its genetics... As I remember, it was just a bean in a handful given to him by an older fella, said "these are GOOD, you should sprout them...."

Some shots of Kryptonite @ 58 days; her purple hues are showing through nicely now---I will let her go 63-65 days and then give her the chop. She was grown 100% organic in soil/coco and fed mostly Insect Frass. She reeks of grape and other heavy fruit undertones.
