Hey guys I was wondering if anyone could help me indentify this strain?

DISCLAIMER: I KNOW IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO 100% CORRECTLY IDENTIFY A STRAIN BY LOOKING AT IT.

Okay so first I will give the story. there is always a story...

So a few months back I ask my boy what is in stock, He says there is some shit from NYC coming in if you feel like waiting. So I wait for it and what do you know it is some nice bud! Haha so in the bag, (ELBOW) I find about 4 or 5 seeds.

I grew out two of the seeds, and I got 1 male and 1 female.

Here are pics of the female...

I didn't take any pics of the male, and it is now dead for the most part but it was a bit shorter but generally looked the same.

The male sat in my flower chamber for too long and pollinated pretty much everything. this is why I am curious of what strain it is. I love knowing the correct lineage of strains. It's a pet peeve of mine.

the female pictured has also been pollinated that's why there is not much flower development going on.

Here are some pics of the bud that the bagseeds were found in...

Idk if that helps at all...

Seeing how good the pot was, I have a feeling that the offspring will be pretty stellar!

I have these females pollinated....

GDPxQuerkle

I might be forgetting one...

I am stoked to grow out these seeds in the future. I have a good feeling I will find some extraordinary phenos!

So anyone have any thoughts what this mysterious NYC strain might be?

For me, it seems to be a Skunk or something like that... no flavors?

it doesnt smell like skunk, more on the fruity side of things but hard for me to pinpoint. deff not skunk tho.

If it is indeed from NYC I would Google "Piff." Could be it, or at least a cross of it.

I believe they actually call it "piff haze."

idk the picture's I'm seeing are not resembling what I have in front of me, but it could be a cross of it like you said.

If it is "piff" it is suppose to be some fire. I wish someone would work with it. There are so many regional strains that no one works with on a large scale.

I will never be able to say it is definitely "piff" or not, but if I find some nice plants in the beans, I'll be sure to work them further and maybe send some to seedbay. But I'll never know what the male was lol.

the "piff" assumption is possible though, because the female is verrry stretchy, stretchiest strain I've grown to date. I'm pretty sure it was started 12/12 from seed and now it is around week 5 or so and it's prob a foot and a half or around there. I've never had anything stretch that much on me. I'm plannning on taking a clone from the female, just in case she turns out to be something special. It's too early to tell so it's better to be safe than sorry.

Piff smells like catholic church, if it doesnt smell like that it aint piff. The bud it was found in looks like beasters. Sounds like just some no name stuff to me, could be anything.

It kind of resembles that smell but more fruity. Not full on incense smell.

Thanks for your input. You really think that looks like beasters? I'd like to see some of what you are smoking on right now...

To the MAX! Outdoor at that!

are you guys commenting on MY pictures or the ones OrganicOzarks posted?

Personally I don't think either one of them look bad...

But the first one he posted looks like some outdoor.

It could be anything. Absolutely anything these days given the distance weed travels and the varieties available to American growers anywhere.

Yes you are most definitely correct about that. Just was curious of some opinions.

You'd know if it was the Uptown.

It kind of does remind me of a skunk strain as well or something with a high calyx to leaf.

That photo you showed looks like alot of the Afghani buds that floats around that area, only thing throwin me for a loop is that fan leaf it looks nothing like Afghani. Were they referring to it as exotics if you can remember? I have family in NYC and ghani and diesel seems to be the go to buds over there every time I go out.
