tincture to hash

I've got a newb question for you all. I'm new to concentrates and made some green dragon with about an ounce of bud per 60ml bottle (95% everclear). It works well...but tastes like shit so I'm starting from scratch and gonna work on an olive oil or coconut oil tincture instead. However, now I'm not sure what to do with 180 ml of this tincture.

Anyway my question is this: if I evaporate down all three 60ml bottles unti completely dry and scrape up the remains with a razor blade or whatnot ....will this be hash? Sounds like it will but wanted confirmation first.

Also, secondly ...I read several teks where you take 1/8th of bud to 200ml olive oil and their reporting dosing at 2-4 drops. That beats the hell out of my green dragon tincture at 2 droppers FULL.

Anyone know if that's accurate ...1/8 bud to 200ml oil and getting good effects from 2-4 drops? I'm thinking of going 1/4 bud to 120ml oil just to be safe.

Hey Ozz, if you evaporate the alcohol, you'll have cannabis oleoresin (AKA hash oil). You can then dissolve that in coconut oil if you like. I'll leave someone else to answer your other questions.

Thanks for the input. I want to start from scratch on the olive oil tincture ...I'm not planning on using my green dragon to make it... so they are two seperate projects.

...but if I pour all these green dragon bottles into a pyrex dish and evaporate it completely until solid... that would be hash right? Not hash oil? I'm assuming hash oil is still in a liquid form.

I would like to pull solid hash from the green dragon tincture (if possible) for vaporizing and start with fresh bud for the oil tincture.

Hey Ozz, it would be cannabis oleoresin (AKA hash oil). It is sometimes called oil because historically some of the solvent remained and made it appear to be an oil. Hash contains the trichomes and often other plant debri. If you'd like to know more about the terminology, you can read the excerpts in the link in my signature. No, it will be a raw oloeoresin with some plant waxes and a boat load of chlorophyll.

Define dose! 2 to 4 drops of olive oil extract is not going to equal a 100 ml dose, which is what we use as a standard.

Have you considered using frozen quick wash techniques to avoid the water solubles and chlorophyll?

BBTW I just used 1 oz blue widow to 2 cups oil so ill have to see what doseage is appropriate ...I've heard around a teaspoon.

I use 100mg active ingredients as a standard dose. That is about three drops.

Correct!! I mispelled my units. It is mg vis a vis ml.

I edited it, so it is correct now.
