purple does not go back to DJ short's blueberry.. just like purple cabbage, it's just a trait some plants have and it's not limited to indicas either.

here's a mostly sativa plant. as you can see the purpling started very early in flowering

this is at harvest, the leaves started turning purple because of the temperature

most plants will turn shades of purple as the weather turns colder like many other plants.. some will turn purple regardless of temperature.

The Fire OG cut thats going around in the Oregon Med community that turns purple is not the clone only, its a Cali Connection knock off at best. Doesnt have any OG smell, more of a fruity smell and it doesnt grow like a OG at all. Not saying its bad smoke because its pretty good, but if you are looking for the real fire OG thats not it.

Who knows more about the purple gorilla or purple monkey balls

Pretty sure Purple Monkey Balls is closely related to Deep Chunk. Either a select pheno or just another name for it. Plenty of DC crosses to be found around. Tom Hill might have some DC up on the Bay, not sure.

Hey fellas, I've always loved purple weed, best purple I've ever had was an Afghan.
Whats the best purple in seed form?
How is BC's the Purps?

Im smoking on some god's gift right now thats super nice. My boy just did a run with the purple gorilla witch was fire. It had a fuel taste on top of the normal purple funk. It didnt yeild the best but it would most likely do ok in a sog.

Those're really beautiful plants, what strain are they?

Yeah you're probably right now I come to think of it the guy who told me that also told me that male cannabis plants "Turn females into more males", He's not a hugely reliable source.
Though DJ short certainly has a legacy in coloured plants

just a personal hobby strain, from strains available in seed form, purple haze, pakistani and another that's not available right now, nepalese.

this one showed more haze/nepal influence. needs a 6-8 week cure to be good.

and yes, cannabis is a field where anyone who partakes in smoking considers themselves some kind of expert on marijuana botany.
