possible way to get rid of pests like whiteflies

this is still in test mode but i think it shows promise already and its cheap so i figured i would post it up in case it might help someone.

all i did was get ahold of a cheap ultrasonic fogger off ebay for like 8$ and put it in to a container of water and added a few tablespoons of spinosad to the water. i then place that container in front of an oscillating fan and it disperses the spinosad fog throughout the room and in theory coats all the foliage. spinosad is shown to be safe and effective on foliage feeding bugs with no ill effect on us or pets. its a naturally occurring bacteria found in some tropical soils if i remember correctly.

the fogger i bought has stupid LED's in it so i put it on the same timer as my flowering lights so the lights dont interrupt night time.

i seem to have noticed a lot less whiteflies but i could be imagining it since its only been like three days or so.

i was gonna buy a insect fogger but the cheapest is about 200$ which i thought was pretty damn stupid but worth it lol.

the same principal could be used with a cheap ultrasonic humidifier off the shelf and simply add some spinosad to the tank.

i hope this helps some of you! i'll keep track and see if they are reduced or eliminated soon.

nice! thats a great idea, but only if your not flowering, because you risk bud rot, but still it's fantastic idea!

Spinosad works great on white flies. The brand I use is 1 ounce per gallon and I add 2 ounces of Super Seaweed extract, pump spray away, drench the whole plant, top and under leaves, early flower and veg. I try to avoid spraying when in flower. White flies hate seaweed sprayed on the plant they can't lay their eggs on it, it only takes one application. Then I drench the soil with Spinosad, 4 ounces 10 gallons, I add it to my nute mix. 2 ounces 5 gal in veg just one soil drench, NO BUGS of any kind. At the beginning of flower I drench the soil and that's it. I also grind up mosquito dunks and sprinkle the soil with it. No bugs, a little gnat here a there but most times none.
