1000w Super Lemon Haze & Headband (Sour Kush) grow!

hello all, this is my first ever post on this forum. been growing for about a year now and went from soil to top feed DWC systems and grown about 20+ strains before.

Never made a grow journal before so heres my first ever

Super Lemon Haze and Reserve Privada Sour Kush Grow.

First i got the rockwool cubes soaked in 5.5 ph water the day before the seeds arrived

i got the seeds from herbies (my one and only provider since everyonedoesit.com went down) and actually got 4 Royal Queen Sour diesel seeds fem. I threw them into some cubes cause why the hell not. its a new 2013 seed company or something supposedly. NO reviews of it i found so ill be the first possibly.

I put the seeds into the rockwool cubes i then put them into my homeade "cloner/seedling chamber" that i made Using about 8$ from home depot and an old power cord i had lying around. Cut a 3 inch netpot in the bottom and mounted the light socket and have a 23w 5000k (Cant find 6500k, ANYWHERE. so i may order them online). If you look in the picture below youll see how i constructed it.

Thats it for now folks. I plan to document this grow and take advice as it comes. i spent the first year growing asa crash course but grew some amazing buds. Super lemon haze was the first i ever grew and i got a sour kush freebie a WHILE ago from herbies that i thought was bomb. so i figured why not do it again but this time MUCH more wiser lol.

Has that cloning bucket ever zapped you? For safetys sake you should house that switch. On the other hand, its an awesome nightlight.

im popping five SLH , Five Sour Kush And Four Sour Diesel from Royal queen. ALL strains are feminized

I JUST changed the switch actually, sodered in a NICE click switch and covered all connections.

and its not from a "hermie" the seeds are from "HERBIES" a seed company i order from.

It was the first strain i ever grew and the best weed ive ever smoked. Ive been to cali, smoked crazy kushes like the sky walkers, the tahoe, the OG kush and even what i consider to be the best cali bud i ever smoked, REAL gods gift.

BUt that SLH is nuts. My friend who i showed the room to said he found it hilarious the best weed he ever smoked was grown in front of his eyes lol.

well, nothing yet. just watered em a lil with 5.5 phd water and stuck em back in the chambed.

last time i did this, NO seeds germed in what wsa the first time i saw NOTHING sprout. could of been from the fact i forgot to ph the seeds, but man am i still worried until i see some sprouts ill have bad luck 2x in a row lol

Yeah I only grew one freebie of it a, while ago but when I smoked it with my dad he couldn't believe how insanely strong it was. He's a sixties Guy that remembers REAL Acapulco gold lol. Says that sour Kush got him "stimey stoned" lol

IMO and Experience, Rockwool starter cubes are the hardest to use for propagation.

I recommend Root Riot Starter Cubes. They come with clonex if you buy the tray and a good tray to use/reuse and I've had roots in as little as 5 days on clones and seeds usually pop within 24/36 hours, as long as you have a humidity dome.

Whats the temperature under the 5 gal bucket/ around it? The light might heat inside a bit, but the medium might be too cold.

Have you germinated seeds any other way or this way before?

You might be able to germinate them, if you put them in a damp paper towel sandwiched between two plates and kept warm some where.

IDK lets see what happens, but I've never had one successful Rockwool Starter Cube experience with clones/seeds and i went through that whole pack of 20 or something.

SLH is definitely BOMB but not the best IMO. The best weed is all weed, labeling and judging things is getting old and half of it is bullshit now-a-days.

not trying to rain on your parade OP but, i just ran the SOUR KUSH 6 out of 6 plants had seeds in the end, with no bananas in sight. it was pretty disappointing to say the least.

I've used cubes like this before and all went well. The inside of the.bucket is a Nice 75 degrees and the cubes stay warm

But next time around I might have ti try starter cubes like you suggested. I can see Lil white roots showing down the b holes so if they don't germ ill do the paper towel route then. thanks for the input

I have sour kush in my bloom room right now at day 43 in flower, mine came from dna genetics . Also have a few others from them like o.g. 18, holy grail, kosher , exodus kush, kandy kush , and sour diesel. A cpl are from reserva privada but their the same breeders. But anyway to the point . All are killer except sour diesel and sour kush hermied.

oh man, im begining to think i got lucky with my first seed a while back when i grew it out lol

seeds were a bit pricey too, but eh, cross your fingers for me, im sure some will herm if its this notorious, but hopefully not all and i get some clones of keepers. AT least i still got SLH and that sour Diesel from royal queen to check out

i could seriously live with a grow room PACKED of SLH.

well, here it is, the first SLH sprou of my batch! i can see the lil "white heads" starting to poke out the holes of my Sour kush as well but not just yet.
