Requirements for the ryder or rider name.

I have always thought that to add the "ryder" or "rider" tag to a strain name, it had to contain some Hawaiian Sativa?

Anyone else have some authoritative info on this?

I've thought this was the case for decades, can't remember the source??? Robert Clarke? Old High Times?

I'm talkin oldskool rules
Decades before any of those mutants were even dreamed up.

That's partly why I'm asking too. Seen a bunch of BS riders lately & am like WTF?

I'm wondering if you may be referring to the Afghan Bull Rider...
I don't know much about it but there's something for you to search to see if it is what you are looking for. ;)

The Niterider cut i have been posting up was named by me. It really only got that handle because of SugeNite genetics being part of the makeup and the fact that its nitetime smoke. So i did some wordplay on Knight Rider and voila..i dunno anything about the Rider being a label for a certain group of strains..

Thx guys, I'll get to the bottom of this eventually. ;)

Got a cut of Afghani Bullrider last week. Kinda what brought this to the forefront & got me thinking about it again. It IS the old classic recipe.

I'm also planning on creating some the old way...
Equatorial Sativas X Indicas

Would like to have the History nailed down by then too.

cheers :)

Oh yeah.
Looks like the Y version "rYders" are the new wave...
meaning the oldskool version would be the "I" version... rIder
