Colorado springs area

So I am out on vacation in the springs area, brought our own bud but we went through it faster than I thought we would. Anyways, there are 10 times as many dispensarys as liquor stores, including several across from where we are staying. Can non-residents purchase anything yet, even like single grams? I figured I'd ask on the boards rather than getting shot down at the door.

Anyways, loving it out here regardless. Just 30 more hours and I'll be finished with school and out here permanently. Went to a cool bar, Meadow Muffins, yesterday afternoon. Good wings and beer, awesome atsmophere, I think were going back for a couple rounds later on this afternoon.

Morning wake and bakes while sitting in front of pikes peak isn't a bad way to start the day. Man I love it out here.

If anyone knows other bars/restaurants we should check out speak up. We went to edelweiss yesterday, beer was decent but disappointed in the food. Trying out the mason jar later on too, maybe for dimner .

Stay safe/stay medicated-basket

You can't go to dispensary's, but maybe someone in the area will chime in and toss you a nug. I would, but I'm several hours away from you. I'd try Bristol Brewing Co. I haven't been, but it sounds nice.

thanks lubdanugs. Wanna be clear though I'm not trying to solicit from members, I was just asking a question over the legality of stuff. I figure if we hang out at enough bars well eventually meet people, we also have friends I'm Denver we were thinking about seeing.

If you like microbrews, try the Phantom Canyon Brewing Co, basket. It's a microbrewery and they also serve food.

My intel is over 10 years old, but I liked their dark ale and the food was good.

I had a view of pikes peak through my living room window,go up there and throw a frizbee! You have to see the garden of the gods off Academy Blvd. And of course missing cripple creek if you're out there should be illegal. You better like the cold man and I mean a lot of snow and cold..notice I'm Floridian now lol

Is there a snowboard hill around Co Springs? Done with school, studied a non-lucrative field, but want to be in a good mountain environment where i can sit out in the woods all day and carve some lines on a snowboard...quick turnover in the food service biz? thinking maybe a plebeian job on a ski hill is a good place to start, teaching board lessons and helping people on lifts...cut out mountainbike trails in the summer or something....whats good colorado?

Hey budbasket, lemme know what you find out... I'm planing a 2 month trip across the country and a huge part of my excitement is the Colorado part. I really hope that the folks out there come through for ya. I can't imagine it could be so difficult... But then again

Check out vail, Breckinridge, silverthorne, steamboat telluride, or aspen

Colorado Springs is near denver, both of which are in the foothills which are not really mountains. All the great boarding is west in the high country.

Tons of jobs in the service area, and a job on the mountain scores you a free season pass (great way to meet people, too).

As for the op's question, unfortunately cannabis is still illegal to sell for recreational use however it is legal to gift it. But FYI, Coloradans like to help out, and I'm sure If you have the right vibe some stranger out on the town should be willing to help you out...

Good luck!

How did the quest for bud turn out? I will be out in Denver for business for a few weeks in May and was wondering how availability was. Hoping to scrounge something up while Im there.
I am really excited to get out there, have not spent any time out that way.

I just started researching hotels, and something to do while I am off. I plan on picking up a mountain bike the first day there and shipping that baby home the last day.

I've got a Colorado MMJ card, but unfortunately the recreational shops are not open yet for another year almost because the state is struggling with how the shops should be regulated. Manatou is a tremendous place so enjoy. Pot is legal so smoke it if you got it. If you run out ask the bellman at your hotel, people in bars, bartender, taxi driver and people hanging out around town. Someone will turn you on. Have fun on vacation.
