early sativas

Anyone know of any good early sativas out there? At first I was selecting them for september and then after looking at the average frost for my area I thought I might want to push for an August harvest. I wanted a nice elongated sativa growth pattern.

african sativas are what you want to get your hands on, or sativa leaning hybrids crosses, but thas just my 3 cents. look into make some of your own, maybe with a ruderalis variety crossed up by, or into a sativa. off the top... early durban - flying dutchmen, paradise seeds has alot of sativa effect hybrids, dutch passion has some but they are hybrids that will finish 10-12wk... um thats about the best i can do you for bud...

Esbe and Hybrids from Hell have a bunch of stuff you might want to look into. Also, Ace has Bangi Haze and Nep Jam, both use Nepalese, which seems to help bring down the flowering. HFH also has Purple Nepal. Don't think it's the same Nep used as Ace, but looks like it would be a nice early sativa.

Mandala Seeds: Beyond the Brain (70 days); Krystalica (69 days) and Orisha (70 days)
ACE Seeds: Guerrilla (63 days) and Orient Express (63 days)
Cannabiogen: Leshaze (65 days), Caribe (67 days), Mextiza (67 days), Destroyer (70 days)
Seedsman; Original Skunk #1, Sugar Haze (63 days)

There are many... stick around and the names may come.

Green Crack is 50 days. If you can find a clone, also a strain you'll either love or hate; It's just one of those strains, no in between. People will either dislike it for being too racy or for the flavor or both, though I personally love its head and terpene profile.

It`s not the flowering duration as much its the flowering trigger response you are seeking .
A 60 day flowering plant that doesn`t go into full flower until June July wont be ready for your time frame .
What latitude you are at will be a factor . Day night temp difference . Amount of direct sun per day . Can all effect flowering response .
Esbe`s gears or similar day length sensitive Sativa hybrids might give you the best chance .

sagarmatha's early riser i worth looking into you won't find much on it but here's what i know from growing her. I've grew it 3 times out of the 8 years if been growing now and highly recomend it. very frosty, good bag appeal, easy to trim, easy to grow, done mid sept., unique taste, acceptable potency about 7.5/10,classic sativa happy red eyed soaring heady high, big yeild a 1 lbs plant for sure, and there's a rare purple pheno thats way cool (got it once) seeds are also cheap about 60 bucks. no idea why it's not more popular.

Yeah I heard good stuff about early Durban and its crosses,
in general though pure african sativa's are too late for high lat's,
not sure where the op is at though.

diesel crosses. NYC, headband, casey jones all 10.5 weeks

There are earlier strains with more sativa in 'em than those.

Defo hfh purple nepal is worth a look, and purple peace which is 50% of its genetic, purple peace is nepal x viking (affie) but most pheno's are like 90% sativa ime, very nice early strain and grows very tall with a great christmas tree structure.

Also Thyphoon is a very early sativa aswell as Tanska's Nepal,
Danish strains are where you want to look for early sativa's bro.

i feel you rinse some of them can be lengthy like a thai, but stuff like a nigerian, or a malawi, tiki's bambata if i remember correct are something like 8-10 wk, those early ones where the ones i was interested in for a while, i saw several fast flowering african varieties on Dr Chronic seeds forum and a couple others... my ideas have changed some since about my own projects so...

I don't think you will be able to find a good sativa that gets ripe in august/september bro...

Ciskei Bushman, Bangui Haze and some strains from Delicatessen come to mind as the best early sativas but still far from that time I guess.

I think you are condemned to fast hybrids with questionable highs! :)

How was the color in Purple Nepal? Not a lot of information around for it. Been looking at it for a while, but wasn't sure how often the purple showed.

Lots of early flowering options there, sativas as well. Wolf Island Sativa might be right up your alley, not sure.

I'm running "Brickland" right now. Great health, vigorous growth and not all will be auto... some are 'early flower' as in they only need 4hrs of light to flower. (That's right... it will flower in the corner or hanging from the ceiling, in your 18/6 veg room!)

Good luck. :)

one of the best early sativa's I have ever had the pleasure of growing were a homemade cross using Ciskei Bushman and F-13,done by a former member here..great genetics

It was a short but very fast flowering plant with a wonderful sativa, up high.

good luck in your searches

I would also look into C-99, cindy is a great short flowering sativa strain or her crosses

I grew Purple Peace which has a nice color, more of a light purple but I have seen others turn a rich dark purple, I think those pheno's contain more of the Viking genetics.

Sounds like a unique and special cross, when did it finish for you?

He's at 6000 altitude, that's all I remember. Northern hemisphere.
Early Pearl Skunk, as my old friend Elmer was saying about the early trigger. Well it's there.
And a seven week skunk was used, so a nice September finish. Lovely smoke too.
