Where are the afghan war hash plants?

I remember a decade ago the dutch and BC indica scene was at its climax, and there were indicas everywhere. Lots of indica strains. I used to always curse the lack of interesting sativa offerings out there. They were all crossed of a skunk or a haze and called a sativa, but there were tons of indica offerings.

Now I look around the SB offerings and I see several new companies using fresh sativa genetics. ace, mandala, etc. That is great but what I find interesting is the stagnation of indica offerings. I see the same old strains from a decade ago which were becoming old and inbred then.

The interesting thing is that we have been at war with the middle east for a decade as well and I see lots of videos of soldiers walking through massive fields of hash plants in afghanistan. It seems like we would be flush with exciting new hash plants from different regions of the country but I haven't seen any seed banks offering hybrids from new stock from the regions of origin.

I've heard rumors about the potency of "red lebanese" but I haven't seen any red leb hashplant seeds around. Why aren't more people trying to get these type of strains? I don't understand.

I just bought some "couger Piss" by rare dankness that is cat piss pollinated by his Afghani male supposedly selected from seeds brought back from a friend who served in Afghanistan.

Right, but they were gaurding poppy fields, not weed fields

nah man, they got them too. But just put into google video " afghani soldier marjuana" or something like that. There are TONS of videos of soldiers walking through acres and acres of hash plants from all over afghanistan.

I've seen videos of the short, squat, bushy, wide leaf classic hash plants. Seen taller specimens with absolutely massive colas too.

motaco, the real seed company offers pure lebonese and an egyption indica also.they also offer many pure sativas.just take into account that these are pure, unworked landraces and not used to fast release fertilizers.

I think gypsy was offering Affie seeds bought back by a soldier a while back.
I would defo like to see more landrace Afghan variety, the Mazar from RSC is supposed to be great smoke but is a tall and late maturing variety.

Seem to have a shortage in people bringing back seeds from there.
You see sativa but actually not much new either on the market, except for very few people like Ace, Mandala, Tiki.
Even hash seem hardly impossible to come by.

Travelling in Afghanistan is not so easy, also other places that you mention like Lebanon as well; due to the various conflicts.

However for sure it's still all over the placE.
UNODC 2010 Afghanistan is really interesting for anybody who would like to know more about Cannabis in Afghanistan : strains, prices, quantities, locations.

http://www.unodc.org/documents/crop-monitoring/Afghanistan/2011_Afghanistan_Cannabis_Survey_Report_w_cover_small.pdf

I would love to go there though seem like an incredible place. And the hash. WOOOOOW.

By the way according to this study now people make more money on growing Weed than Poppy mostly because the high costs involved in fertilizing/watering the poppy.

What about pre Russian invasion plants?. I was reading and old catalogue off The Seed Club, and Nevil was talking about saving the indicas from the Mazar-I-Shariff.
Also what about the Khyber Afghani (M4)?, no one preserve it?.

Hey motaco, nice topic. I've been interested in hashplants for awhile. My favorite so far was Sensi's Hashplant made from the clone Nevil had crossed to NL then backcrossed to the HP clone. I hope to find something on its potentcy level again someday, its been years since I last tasted some. I do hope some more hashplants from newer stock make it to the market. Would be nice to look through sometime. Ya'll take care 1

bubba kush is likely to be an old 'ghani line, doesnt look look a hashplant in its cutting form but if you look at the seed plants from S1s they defo have that look and are pretty uniform.

I hope that is true about all the seeds coming here to US or Europe.
