How to increase my yield

I am growing in a 10 x 10 tent with 6 1000 watt lights. My average yield is 3.5-4 pounds per harvest. I keep reading that the average yield is .5 per watt. I am definetly way under. Can anyone give me some advice.

I am growing in 5 gallon buckets from home depot orange to be exact in ocean forrest soil. I veg about 30 days with flora nova veg, add roots accelerator, cal mag to ro water. Plants are about 18-22 inches when i start to flower. I grow 10-11 plants per light. Flower with flora nova bloom add bud blood first week:tumbleweed: 2-5 week nova, open sessame, black strap molases, floralicious plus, and cal mag to ro water. 5-7 add monster bloom and remove open sessame. Running a 25,000 btu ac so temp is around 68-72. Have fans around tent lights are air cooled and have inlet of fresh air coming in. No co2. At the end plants look deacent but when I dry and trim I only average about 3.5 to 4 pounds max per harvest. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

what strain? s? whats your finished hieght? what is your extraction fan?s? almost seems like youd be better off w co2 in that scenario

Temps are a lil low. Are you covering a decent footprint? At least 4x4 per 1k bulb? Maybe too much light for the small space? Plants healthy through and through? U add a hardener aka pk booster ie moab or koolbloom?

Whats the airflow like, are all the plants moving? You can use mycorrhizal and training to increase yield and better airflow if the airflow is not sufficient

I would say the amount of light is kind of overkill for the area so maybe not quite the most efficient set up, it's all about maxing canopy in that set up, do you train the canopy at all? I suspect a lot of light is being wasted where something could be grown. Some pictures of different stages through the cycle would really help us help you.
Also the temps are a bit low. I had great results going from the low 70's to the high 70's. Low 70's on the night cycle.

Switch to fabric pots, such as, Earth Juice Aero Bags. Bigger root system. Hand water with Aerated Compost Teas inoculated with Earth Worm Castings, every 2 weeks. Good luck. -granger

To start with I'd get some aeration containers such as air pots or smart pots in larger sizes - 10-15 gallon. I would lower the plant count and veg them longer with plenty of training. Some topping and stringing back branches to help build a big canopy would work very well under all of that light.

I would also think about moving away from the tedious fertilizer program and move into organics. It's simple, cheap, and very effective. There are companies like Espoma and Dr. Earth that make good quality soil if you don't want to mix up your own. There are plenty of recipes in the organic forum.

Moving your temperatures into the 75-80 range wouldn't hurt and will help your electric bill.

i would advise co2, consider ighting overload, hit right temps, And SCRoG ur plants for a full and consistent canopy....pk boost once in wk 5/4th wk before flush....monster bloom is massive, i've used it for yrs now & its always doubled flower size/density, dreadlocks everywhere....wks 6-8 or last 3wks if longer time needed flowering

With your A/C setup... I"ll have to go with everyone else on this and suggest CO2 as the number on place to start.

Next I'd say strain... unless you know for sure it performs well in other gardens.

Stay Safe! :blowbubbles:

6k for 4? You need a fck load more than co2 to fix that.

What have you been doing since you joined in 08? Daydreaming?

No offence dude but every pic i see in your gallery looks horrid.

I see one and only one solution to your problems. Reading...

you don't need to supplement co2 to get the .5 gpw. I d get there before even considering co2. everything counts when u want good yields. using the best clones for one. not having bug infestations or OVERSPRAYING for them. fresh air is a must also with correct topping and pruning. the most important is the genectis of ur strain.

jesus .. i run half the lights.. and get a biger harvest.. u must be using low yielding strains.
my last harvest out of the 3000w room was 6.5 lbs. n my 1000wmh room only yielded a lb. but that was expected.. these plants didnt react well to flowering under the mh.. maybe a mix of spectrum would be better.. but for now. im stickin with hps. ive been seeing wayyy better harvests.. also.. with 6k of lights.. u should be able to get a 12 lb harvest with everything dialed in and plant numbers up.. man if u need anything just ask

Damn, I got 2 and change under 1200 on my first indoor go.....Maybe its the strain. Lose the Home Depot Homer buckets and get you some 5 gallon smart pots or some air pots. I got a free smart pot to prove they were better and the plant in that one was 9 inches taller than the rest. If you are running 6000 watts and a 25,000 btu AC, you certainly need to add some co2. Thats enough that the Co2 could add a pound or more to the total. 68-72 is kind of cool, I kept my room between 75-80, 68 seems kind of cool for lights on and I know that it is killing your electric bill; keeping a house in summer at 68-72 is crucial, at least where I live. Maybe slow down on the additives as well, I didn't use half of the stuff you mentioned. My ladies got grow big, and tiger bloom in 1/2-3/4 strength amounts in veg/flower. I made one "tea" with Worm castings, guano, some greensand, a little epsom salts and lime about 2 weeks into flowering and that was it.
