I've got a very nice clone-only Colorado cut of the Golden Goat finishing up its veg in a few weeks. Won't ya join me in watching this girl shine! Using 10 gallons of Nectar for the Gods soil and nutes by same. She's under plenty of hps in a cooled tent.

Nice, but I think the GG is much broader than CO, and Im pretty sure it did not originate there either, fwiw.

Of coarse I agree! What I mean is that this is my favorite of the two really good and popular cuts providing great flowers for many CO dispensaries.

I keep hearing how much of a yielder she is; and if her veg vigor is any indication of how hearty she is in flowering, there's going to be some dooooonkey dicks!

Last time I grew ISS, she finished super fast, like 50 days! Has that been your experience, too?

Never grew Golden Goat (clone only). Have grown ISS for many, many years though. Also have experience with alot of ISS hybrids too, most notably ISS x (Romulan x Chemo). Old Federation ISS was about 9-11 weeks depending how she was grown and how you liked it(trichomes). Next Generation ISS was definitely changed a bit, and was 7.5-9.5 weeks.

Both would explode about week 4-6 with giant spears. Fed would ripen from the bottom up, while Next Gen would ripen from top/middle outward.

Next Generation ISS:

Can't wait to see your pics of her. Definitely the most popular strain in Colorado. When I was there last year I typed golden goat into weedmaps and 12 dispensaries within 3 miles had it on the menu at the time. Mrdank is the man. I always love growing his crosses and his selections from seed.

yes, ISS definately has some skunk in it somewhere, based on how the hairs grow and look. I've always been curious where the genetics first came from. After smoking and seeing a Jamaican Lambsbread (clone only from DC area) grow, it seems like ISS might be related. The Lambsbread is definately a mostly Sativa Jamaican skunk. The similarities with the original Federation ISS are uncanny.

There used to be ISS all over Colorado shops back in early 2010, but now you'd be hard pressed to find one anywhere! The cut that used to go around was very tasty and cerebral, but not very potent nor would her effects last long. Some places called their ISS "blowfish" for some reason. And I heard an interesting story that there is no "lambsbread" strain. It's really called lamb's breath, but in Jamaican patua, the "th" sound is pronounced like a "t" so visitors assumed they were sayin lambs bread, instead.

yeah I'm well aware of the whole lambsbreath story/myth. This clone was just given to a friend of mine from somebody who worked for MPP in DC. Who knows what its origins are.

Your description of ISS doesn't sound like the ISS I've grown to love..completely different

In that case, I need to look out for much better ISS out there, good to know! That's what happens when lots of people get their hands on the same cut of something not excellent... Ya forget there may be better phenos of the strain name elsewhere.
