i love confusion. and im damned confused.

can someone tell me what post # to read or something, I cannot figure out what this is

I see some write dub, i see some write dud. I see BMs referred to as dubs. There are many instances on this thread where peeps use dub/dud, for same and different things.

could i just get some clear info on this?
I mean, a dud...is a dud...outside of this business. So you referring to a good cut gone bad? And occuring more and more nowadays?

Another fucking name for a BM? Is it? lol so lost.

:thank you:

Grow Tech

I've got a stalk of sinsemilla growing in my back

ADub , Sour Dubble ( sometimes shorthanded to Dub in prolonged conversations) and Dubtech are all strain names...they share some genes to be clear

Sour Dubble in particular ( though not the only one to do it) has shown a tendency to beccome a Dud....meaning it doesnt produce much resin...it's growth habit suffers....it becomes basically garbage. Broad Mites are suspected by some (including myself) to be a cause of SOME of the "Dud-ing".

Does anyone have pics of a dudded Dubtech7?I'm pretty sure mine are not duds, but I know they don't look as good as humbleguys D7. I kept a mom and plan on running her for awhile, but this dud talk has me concerned. What should I be looking for?

alls i know is my shit was CLEAN when my homies got their copies from me

okay guys.... from some people much smarter than me. not as sexy though. hahaha

lets have you talk about this amongst yourselves...

the root of all dudds is:
verticillium

?

DISCUSS

verticillium is a plausible explanation.

in trees, it blights individual branches—a lot like what subrob was describing—before it consumes the whole plant. in annuals and semi-woody plants, it looks a lot like root rot.

there's no viable chemical treatment for it either. benlate used to do the trick, but they stopped making that shit like 10 years ago on account of it was so toxic. veritcillium live in the soil like a lot of other fungal pathogens. if your dirt is alive, it's probably in there and there's no way to eliminate it. like anything else, the best defense is healthy plants. high brix, strong herd, good soil amendments up your odds of not getting the shit. just one more reason that i run sterile in hydro.

if you think you've got verticillium, it's easy to check. prune off a branch (or whole plant) that you suspect. if you see a black ring in the cross section, that's verticillium. quarantine and cull.

i've read that it's possible to nurse a plant back from infection, but any stock i've ever had (and it's all been ornamental nursery stuff, not meds thank goodness), i've just eliminated in the interest of the overall health of the place.

too much coffee indeed.

That is a very interesting and progressive take on the Dud situation...and perhaps not wrong. verticillium

I had considered fusarium wilt brought on by fungus gnats...which are very similar conditions.

Considering that these are both technically forms of fungi and survives in soils as a mycelium that favors poor drainage and excessively moist conditions..."The optimum temperature for growth on artificial media is between 25-30°C, and the optimum soil temperature for root infection is 30°C or above. However, infection through the seed can occur at temperatures as low as 14°C." -wiki

My recommendation for taking preventative measures against such became Trichoderma harzianum.

Reading this and other such articles a while back completely convinced me 1000% I have not been wrong for resisting the "endo only" concepts of soil / root inoculation.

Frosty males = awesome parents.

Here's my trifoliate Cindy Walker on day 3 filling two tomato cage scrogs. She really seems to enjoy the freedom of the tote.

it's 4 am. i just had a birthday. fuck it.

first, the good news. that adub x dt7? it's got seeds in it. that dubtech is the bidness. people will be pleased i think.

next, the honest critique. i just got done running the adub alongside the cookies. people have used the 'e' word to describe both of them. truth is, they're not even in the same area code. i'm not going to say which is which because insulting people's work isn't my style—especially folks who are much better at this than i may ever be.

i will say this much though. if i'm going to call a strain elite, i'm going to make damn sure that i don't have to explain to you why it's elite. i'm just going to open the jar and watch your panties get wet.

Hopefully something good comes from the cross. Here is my adub x dubbtech7 bean...
