Two weeks in Eire! What do I need to see?

Visiting an old ladyfriend in Ireland next month, staying in Dublin and going round the country. I'm lucky to have a local traveling with me but she's been gone for a long time too, any of you heads have suggestions? Bars, stuff off the beaten path, paleolithic graves, I'm game for it all.

The burren is definitely on my list. Amazing looking!

"there isnt a tree to hang a man, water to drown a man nor soil to bury a man"
cromwell bastard

very weird place, looks like the moon + has wedge tombs/burial sites

If your at the burren, you have to visit the most sacred holiest of sites in the country, the father ted house

Suggested Sights:
  • Cliffs of Moher
  • Dingel
  • Aran islands
  • Skellig Islands
  • Cape Clear
  • Kinsale
  • Cork City
  • Derry (European Capital of culture)
  • Galway

My experience it that It is by far the hardest and priciest country in Europe for finding good weed, but its normally decent quality. 15 - 20 dollars a gram

Hash is another story and I would avoid it. Extremely poor quality Moroccan was very common throughout the country.

Cork, Donegal and Galway. In that order, all have VERY good smoking scenes.

am planning a trip to Ireland this summer, was thinking of hiring a motorhome thingy to travel around in staying in campsites etc as we have two young kids..is this reasonably priced or expensive?.Is there anything like Butlins in Ireland?last time i was in Ireland stayed in the Dingle peninsula in a small village cant remember the name apparently was where Ryans Daughter was filmed I think...I have an Irish passport so should get a free pint of Guinness!. My da was born next door to Brendan Behan near Mountjoy Sq, Dublin....

Good luck trying to squeeze a free pint of Guinness you would be lucky to get a free glass of water tbh.

If you can get a deal on the rental then self catering is cheap. Petrol prices are expensive but distances are normally short.

There are a couple of Butlin style resorts in Ireland but I dont know them by name. Trabulgon in Cork is one. Goleen in West Cork and Bundoren Co. Donegal are highly recommended if you are touring around in a motorhome. The latter expecially with children.

Absolutely loving Dublin so far despite being sick as a DOG. My friend doesn't smoke and frankly buying off the street isn't my style, but I am going to Cork and Galway and will keep my nose up.

The place I'm staying in has a coin fed electric meter. Apparently the last tenant was growing massive amounts of grass in the attic and they busted him because of the insane electric bills he wasn't paying. Landlord installed said electric meter.

wow you got lucky, last few weeks have been shit weather.

Would abandon the idea of finding any smoke here and enjoy the tolerance break, maybe galway.

Could get 2 birds stoned and chance coppers tonight , might find some pleasant aromas.

Having a great time and enjoying my tolerance break. When you're smoking an 1/8th a day and getting 1/10 as stoned as when you went through an eighth in a week, it's time to take a break.

Saw the cliffs of Moher, absolutely breathtaking. Galway was cool, so was Cork. I laughed my ass off at this grow store/coffee house/pole dancing lesson place in Cork. And they have a gigantic sign that says "seeds". Exactly what's your cover story coming out of that place with pot seeds and grow equipment? Haha.

Driving was an experience! Your national roads are smaaaaaall, the local ones terrifyingly so. I had a good tome making the loop from Dublin and back though.

Glad you enjoyed cork! Its a great city, not too big nor not too small :) The pole dancing lessons is to keep potential seed buyers happy ;)

As for our roads, they can seem a lil strange alright if you're coming from the states or any country for that fact but one gets used to them.

If you have the chance, got for a nice spliff walks up the killarney national park in Kerry, truly beautiful and many stag and deer about..
