Im trying multiple strains in two separate trays. In the first tray im running a flood and drain recirculating in rock wool. The tray has my amnesia haze and cheese im used to running, however, it has another cheese plant(uk clone), an ecsd, a few gdp plants(looking sickly), and tahoe og. In the second tray im running all of the aforementioned strains and three more, gsc and herojuana og and also fire og(the og im used to running for over a year now). The second tray is a DWC in rock wool also. Im excited to see the new strains and how they differ in each system. The canopies are both both awfully uneven. I like filling my trays with all one strain and having an even canopy. I clustered each strain based on anticipated stretch the best i could we'll just have to see how it goes. not expecting record yields ha. anyway ill have photos of everything up soon and maybe someone can tell me why my gdp looks weird. be back shortly!

note in the fourth and fifth pictures the gdp is the shortest yellowest plants. They literally did not stretch and have been yellow for weeks. It stopped after week 2. So weird, everything else looks perfect. green top to bottom. i never see deficiency with my recipe so far ever. gdp finicky? the buds smell great and look alright i guess.

Ill post the DWC photos soon. They are all much earlier in bloom, day 8. Anyway let me know what you all think. Im not stoked about the uneven canopy but maybe it will still yield decent. If i get 2.5-3 per 2k ill be satisfied considering the million varieties. I swear you can't get the great yields unless the trays only have one strain in each. For me at least. Even different ogs it still messes it up. Once im done with these two I'm only putting one strain per tray from then on. TOO many genetics on my plate right now. I used to only run two! but you get bored and you want variety. its the spice of life!

Hey nice work there, looking good! I am running a dispensary bought GSC, along with some OGs, ...don't know what to expect, hoping for some good genetics somewhere. I am kinda like you running 4 strains, variety is indeed the spice of life (even if I am running all these og variants) even at this stage I can see that I may have to work with/against an uneven canopy as well.

I like the strains you have. Any chance of a picture with the sodiums off on the GDP?
Thank you, i pretty much have all my favorites from over the years in my genetic bank. I have nowhere near the space to veg or keep moms of everything. I just have to see which ones work best with my setup. I can for sure snap one of the gdp. Ill do it during their sleep.

What type of og you running? Im sure you'll find some keepers. As for the uneven canopy, it has gone well for me before, also, its gone horribly wrong. Unknown genetics that arent verified can cause serious problems........found that out the hard way. Although i havent flowered a bunch of these cuts i know theyre verified and by who. I knew to keep the gdp and the uk closer together because they barely stretch, i knew to keep the og and the ecsd closer to the other side so one light can be high and one low. Having it set up that way is far from ideal. Its a sacrifice to see the genetics. Hoping for the best.

Its a uk cheese cut. Its backcrossed though. My buddy was doing breeding projects with a uk. He colloidal silvered one into a male and used it on the uk female he had and three other strains, maybe four. He verified them all and told me this was the stinkiest uk he ever smelled. So naturally considering ive tried like 100 cheeses i had to try it. If its as shiny as my bbc keeper ill make a mom. He wont release the other crosses. I tried them though, super unique. He did uk x gdp, uk x tahoe(ocheese haha) and uk x gsc. The uk gsc wasnt as good as i thought it would be. Now the uk x gdp, straight amazing. Im gonna cross it myself. Ordered the colloidal silver, gonna try it out. Breeding is intensely difficult. Afraid haha. Anyway, high and rambling, the uk cheese stretched the least of all my cuts besides the gdp.

I instantly thought, gdp needs less light. I could have shocked them too. I keep my lights closer than most because they're cooled and a gradual increase in light intensity would probably be smart if i run gdp again. As for the added N you might be right. I run h and g for a base. Never needed it yet but they do make nitrogen boost or whatever. It just amazes me everything else is fine the amnesia is right next to them even taller and still in direct light. But every gdp is having the exact same reaction so it just doesnt like me right now:(

Good luck with your projects mate. Your work is amazing.

I'd like to run GDP one day myself, cheese x GDP would be amazing!

Your cheese pheno does look nice man.

+1 for light intensity ..I think the GDP is 2 close to the light causing the yellow ..if the leaves below the 2nd half of the plant is darker green ..I would say so
