what strain to start out with?

so one of my good friends sells beans, glass and what not. he sent me obver this bean list to check out, and maby place an order with him. im not sure whats what in the selection, which is easier than others, ect, ect. anyone familiar with these strains?

i was thinking about starting with clones for ease of getting going, but worried about bugs, and other issues. but with beans you have to wait untill throwing into flower to sex the plant. imo, wasting time and resources for a newb. id rather not pull plants and toss them in the bin.

anyways, this is what he has. he is very well known in Michigan, Cali, co, and oregon in the cannibus field.

I've never heard of any of those. Start with clones, your going to get some type of "bug" eventually anyways.

The UrkelxKrush sounds nice. Purple Urkel was a very sought after high quality strain at one time. If purples are your thing.

Well I would ask do you want to grow great weed, or "learn" to grow great weed. The strain will make a difference with yield, etc but why not get something cheap/free and local. You can learn something about it, gain knowledge and experience that no one on here has.

none of the crosses you have listed are what i would call newbe seeds... I would suggest something strong and easy to grow for a new grower...like northern lights or bubblegum
my top choice would be BOG bogglegum on sale at seed bo and seedbay . It is kickass smoke and super easy to grow with hugh results

BOG doesn't make a bubblegum. He makes Bogglegum and Sour Boggle. They have bubblegum genetics..

If your just starting out there are tons of good beans at the bay for 20-40 dollars. Maybe start with these to get some experience under your belt. Lots of great beans at the bay.

The first plants I grew were seeds given to me from a neighbor kid on the bus over 20 years ago now lol. Been in love with this plant ever since.

3.can u have a complete crop loss and still have ur knee caps
my advice would be choose ur growing method first,i would go organic or coco(vert of corse),buy all ur equipment.
but it all starts with research,strains,growing method,harvesting methods peace

If this is your first grow, I would start with clones. They are usually cheaper and they are much fast to get going.. Seeds add a good amount of time and if you mess up, its just more time wasted when you have to start over.

If it was me I would get some clones AND seeds so if you kill the clones you'll still have the seeds going.

Ask for the easiest seeds and clones to start with. It won't do you any good if you pick a nice but finicky strain that you kill. When looking at clones, you can usually see mites and other bugs under the leaves if you inspect carefully. Just pick out the ones that look the healthiest.

do it.just do research about plant pest when u deals with clones. also the ffof has gnats from time to time but it aint now biggie,
just scrath some DE on the surface and ur good. tbh you would be better off mixing ur own soil much better conection to ur plants soil and thats relates to better bud all around FME .,but kiss is also wheres it @.

my soil mix was this: FFOF 40%, happy frog 40%, perlite 20%. water only for 3-6 weeks, then slowaly add nuts when the nuts wear off from the soil mix. ive go a 30x scope, and a decent scope on my cell phone (app) ill look very carfully for mites or other abnormalities that i can find. i ran ot of cash to finish my grow at the moment. so im still about 3 weeks out from turning on the light. maby sooner, as im getting ready to go back to work, and im still waiting on a 6000 check to finally show up in the mail box.


as far as the FF soil, if i get my bags of mix, portion them out in a big plastic tub, an mix it together, put the lid back on and let it sit for a week, would any bugs (if present) surface or be on the undersid of the lid, or should i dig thu the soil and investigate for any critters? and if i find citters, use the needed pest killers (neem, organic hot pepper/tobacco diy water, ect)?

If the price is cheap for the seeds compared to ordering online I say order from your friend. Since you have the option to get clones. I'm sure that option isn't going anywhere. My choices would be the True Gangster Kush and Quicksilver. I have never grown either but I like the parents. So I can't say if either of them are easy to grow. You could always buy some seeds. Save them and do a run with bag seeds to get your feet wet. That wont cost you anything other than the price of a bag of weed with some seeds in it. Then go from there with clones or purchased seeds.

House of Love Midnite Madness is highly recommended. Gnarly plants, easy to grow, great yield, frosty, greasy buds.

I grew these for my noob soil grow. Great results. Harvested with some amber at 70 days.

surely clones are a lot easier for a new grower. Wish I had access to clones. I have found getting from seed to veg the hardest part of the process to get right. Would love to skip all that paper towel, shot glass nonsense.

this too! I got my first beans for $25 from bay, and they gave me two freebie packs! Needless to say, I fucked up but now I have a mother plant of that $25 strain that I can continue to clone and grow for as long as I want.

this too, the first 2-3 weeks are probably the easiest to fuck up...germinating and dealing with seedlings can be stressful...

I think you'd still be better of getting a 20-30 dollar pack of beans. Oh and don't talk about other seed vendors unless you wanna get banned.
