Newbie closet micro grow - 165w PLL bagseed

So I've been giving them a little extra CalMag supplement for a couple days. Just waiting to see if that helps.

Here's some current pictures:

The one on the left seems increasingly unhappy about something:

Some leaf tip curling as well:

Does this look serious enough to post in the infirmary?

Some of it looks like natural yellowing to me but the curled tips def resemble burn.

=D

Thanks for the input folks. I flushed them out and re-watered with 2/3 strength nutrient solution.

They've been on 12/12 for 6 weeks now. Hard to believe it's already been that long. I have been examining the trichomes and most appear cloudy or clear. I don't think there's any amber-color ones yet but the time is probably drawing near.

They smell really nice! Very flowery and sweet up close, also on my hands after I've worked on them. At a distance there's kind of a skunk/coffee/chocolate smell.

Couple more pictures:

The buds are too heavy for the stems to support and they kind of flop around. I've been using pipe-cleaners to support them against each other where necessary.

Here's a picture of one of the best-looking buds:

Unfortunately this one started to go hermaphrodite on me. I started finding little banana clusters on it a few days ago. I've been carefully removing them with tweezers - they seem to come off fairly easy. I haven't found them anywhere else but I'm keeping a close eye on the situation.

It's been 7 weeks into flowering now so I'm thinking harvest time has got to be very soon by this point. I lost my little magnifier so it's hard to fell what the trichomes are doing. I'm just trying to eyeball it to see when they're ready :dunno:

Yeah, real nice looking flower. I have always gone by percentage of red to white hairs as a indicator of about when to pick. 60-70% red minimum, but sometimes I let them go long.

lookin good, all my hairs are always red or orange when i pick, you need a scope at least 30x maginification and check the trichomes, when they are cloudy and are turning amber start your flush for at least 10 days

Here's an attempt at some close-up shots of the trichomes. It looks like they're all cloudy or clear at this point, no amber ones as far as I can make out.

They're really starting to flop around in there! The buds are too heavy for the stems to hold at this point. I just try to kind of lean them together and tangle them around so they stay upright. I love just sitting there and looking at them and smelling them.

Hi Cotton, nice to see the ladies packing on. Had a question about your lights there, the PLL's i have that ballast and 3 - 3000k and 1 -6500k, and i cannot figure how to wire those guys up to save my life, i have the sockets like yours as well. i'd try a PM, however this is my first post, dont think i can yet. My setup is very similar to this so i been druling all over this forum!

Man! Sorry for being such a lazy ass and leaving you hanging. Here's a drawing of how I set mine up:

I got one of those screw-open socket plugs from the electrical aisle at walmart and wired the power wires into it. I also bought a roll of wire the same type and size as the ballast wires, and used that to splice the ends by soldering on some short pieces onto each end.

Here's what it looks like now. I spotted a few amber trichomes, so I decided to start flushing. It's about day 2 of giving them water only. I think it might be a tiny bit early but they seem pretty much ready I guess.

I think it's probably past time to harvest now. It's been 2 weeks of flush. I wanted to do it this weekend as kind of a 4/20 celebration but a bunch of stuff kept happening and I didn't have time. I'm hoping to do it some time this week but it might have to wait until the weekend.

Here's how they're looking now. Would it be a bad idea to wait a few more days until the weekend, or should I chop ASAP?

OK! So I finally brought myself to make the big chop. I felt a little sad and wished I could let them live some more. They have been such awesome plants and I became emotionally attached, but now it's time for them to be awesome medicine. I'm guessing they knew the game before choosing to live as cannabis plants in a dude's closet anyhow.

They probably need a little more careful trimming before the final product but we'll see when they're dry I guess. It was a LOT more work to trim these than I would have guessed. Also I was having an anxiety attack for much of the time due to the outrageous amount of smell they were putting off. I wasn't expecting it to be so intense but even outside I could smell it at one point when I stepped out for a break. Anyway... here they are!

I think this turned out fucking awesome!

Interesting that they turned out different colors. Two of them are almost purple and two are light green. The smell is slightly different too. The lighter ones smell kind of like Pine-Sol and the darker ones smell a bit like Fruit-Loops cereal.

One of the darker-color buds that I thought looked pretty cool:

I took out the PLL bulbs and strung up some twine to hang them from:

So now I guess I'll just wait a couple days and see if they're ready to put into jars. I really want to make sure to do the best job I can with curing! These awesome plants deserve it!
