Thinking about running a mini-Dehumidifier @ Nite

Anyone have a suggestion?

Can't keep my humidity down in the off hours? Interior fan doesn't work to reduce lights-off humidity either, when its on intermittently or constantly. Tried running the exhaust fan in similar mod, with no luck either. Simple shit methods too!, like a nice flat container full of jasmine rice, no dice..............

Thinking about adding something like this:

That one looks like it's only for clothes closets or similar. The info on it says it removes 4 to 6 ounces per 2 weeks, and 'renewable' makes me think it's just some water absorbing crystals in a plastic box.

For not much more they make actual plug-in mini humidifiers that remove several pints per day. I was looking at one at Home Depot last year. It had a Peltier device in it to condense the humidity. Don't have first-hand experience with one yet, maybe someone else does.

Well it is basically a plug-in heater too, that evaporates the balls after they have collected. Yes, 1/2 cup over 2 weeks. But that's fine, I have a little less than 3 cu ft. of space and I just need it for at night. Tired of the 25% jump at night. Can't fit much else into the bottom of the cabinet [mini-fridge]
Plus I am on minimal budget. !!!!!!!!

3 cubic feet! I take it back, that unit may be all you ever need! I think I see how it works now - it basically is some water-absorbing substance, and when it's absorbed enough water you remove it and plug it in somewhere to drive off the moisture and you're ready to go.
Pretty slick.

Basically its a wireless jelly ball box with an indicator. Once the balls turn wet, turn on the heater [plug in, still wondering how all that works] and they are evaporated in supposedly 8 hours. This is cheaper, than DIY'ing something out of jelly balls, an aquarium heater and a $5 Walmart 110v timer...and I love DIY too.
Yep, not a very big space at all..... But a lil humid like this has a home by my intake vent in the bottom.
