the drip irrigation in coco can work wonders once you have a strain dialed in. i love this box for checking out new strains. will be interesting to see how these 2 strains go. so far so good i suppose, very early days, and i'm wondering if i should have vegged a bit longer. oh well we will see...

day 10 of 12/12

ec : 1.5
ph : 5.7

will try take pics again tomorrow 5 mins before the lights come on so they are not disturbed in the dark phase. you will see they have stretched quite well since i changed to 12/12. the Fly hooker is showing a bit more vigor at this stage, but they are all looking good except one of the 2 feminised SD i am testing in there. it's just bad luck, the plants around are doing much better so she has got drowned and that slowed her down even more of course. never the less 1 of them is growing normally so i'll see what she brings if all goes well. anyway the SD are a side project, was gifted them by a local m8 to try in coco. quite looking forward to a nice pure sd, but time will tell. i really do wonder what i have to look forward to with the sour star, 7 more weeks to start finding out, lol.

pic update soon....

Day 11 of 12/12

Greetz @ Smokeythebearrr

nice to have ya along, lets see where this trip takes us eh?

for now, it's day 11 of 12/12 and i just upped the ec to 1.6 as those FlyHooker girls still look hungry while the SourStar looks like she can use it too. i will not take this round up very high as i have no idea what the strains sweet spots are yet.

He there roll it large,

i use a net for support, in fact i spread the net over them right after taking those pics. the net is essential when you have a stretchy thin stemmed plant. actually support is essential pretty much how ever you grow. will be interesting to see how the buds develop. with the net, the thin stems shouldn't hold them back from producing a decent harvest of hopefully fine fire!

you know i have to think back about the slabs, lol. this will be the 4th time i'm using this set of slabs, but i have to admit that they got a few months rest between the first use in another place and the 2 runs i used them for here. so in that time the roots were broken down allowing for a nearly fresh start. still, strictly speaking this will be the 4th time with these slabs. will probably go for a new batch after this run.

have started using canna coggr a+b in the last few harvests and it seems to work just as well on plain coco as the canna coco a+b.

yo roll it large bro, nice way to use the net twice, have hung some tops from it too before now, but mostly i'm starting a new batch in there as soon as the old is harvested.

Nice! i'm just in time for the action to begin.
i'm having a seat
:lurk:

welcome Medium Pimpin', nice timing indeed, from here on out it should get interesting.....i hope, hehe.

can i ask how often u feed?

hey PoopyTeaBags, they get fed 4x daily, all feedings occur during the light on phase.

Simplicity at it's best... So well done...

welcome aboard Alien Dawg! yeah man kiss coco set up. hopping for some cool buds, so i can share some equally cool pics with you all in due time.

Whos sour Star May I ask?

Greets plyinindirt, SourStar is by Hortilab, he gave me some beans at the last IC 420 Cup. have totally forgotten what the parentage is. with any luck he might chip in with that info. can't wait to see what these babies do in the next 7 weeks.

Ya, whats the scoop on the genetics?

Your setup is really nice. I can see myself found 6 months after my disappearance, helplessly tangled in all those lines.

Subbin'

haha wildgrow, it does take a bit of patience working with drip irrigation, but it looks worse then it is when you get down to it. i had to buy 1 meter spaghetti lines last time as the 75cm ones were sold out, hence you see all that spare line looping around the place. another few days and you will hardly be able to see the drip lines anymore, lol. just as long as they don't get blocked, they are a fine method of irrigation for this set up.

like i said above, the genetics are from Hortilab seeds. let's see if i can find a nice keeper in there.

i already grew out a few females of FlyHooker and it's really very special, has a most unique smell and taste with a strong hit. last time the plants were re vegged and didn't really reach their full potential yield wise, so i can't wait to see how they do under these much better conditions.

cheers

hi DH, thanks for clearing that up man.

and now back to planned programing, lol.

day 19 of 12/12

as you can see they have done a nice stretch and are filling the space quite well now. i'm not quite happy with all the red stem and the thin stems, but that's more my fault then the genetics. these coco slabs are right old by now, so maybe that's causing an imbalance, or i should have gone up faster with the nutrient level. the Fly hooker is looking very light too, we will see, in the end less is often more when it come to the end results.
