plantmax bulbs

anyone using em. i bought a bunch a while back. first run the ballast and bulb both crapped out. the ballast was warrantied and new so replaced.is it even possible for a bad bulb to kill a ballast????

For the price they can't be beat. I got a few off cheaphydroponics.com for well, cheap. They performed very well without any issues. 400 & 600 watt Galaxy ballasts.

working good so far. for the price they seem great. i will wait for yields and smoke test tho before concluding my test of em. they seem to veg great

hello there. Out of curiosity, what was your conclusion with these plantmax bulbs? Can you in your experience recommend the bulbs? How do they stack up against an eye hort?

Plantmax are good bulbs for the price. They may not have the spectrum of a hortilux bulb, but you can buy a few of them for the same price.

Just switched to a dual arc plantmax for flowering. Spectrum chart here-

Thought I'd try it- seems like a budget hortilux, I hope.

When I switched from my used Craigslist MH conversion bulb to the used HPS flowering bulb, all I got was a spiffy lightning show inside the bulb before the ballast shut down, so I had to do something. The new bulb is much brighter....

Plant max t5's suck, dimmer than 3 year old Phillips and 2 of 4 blew in a month, not worth the effort to warrenty, ordering Phillips.

anyone use a spectralux?
i had them in a 6 banger HO T5 3yrs ago and got excellent results.
they were around $7-8bux a pop
i recently went to get a case and price on em is now $12+....?
