future Zamal breeding?

yikes.. what was indica about the mango zamals if you don't mind me asking? There's not much reports of it in the mandala section but the one I did see was pretty good.
shorter squatter veg profile with indica/sat ( as opposed to sat/sat, or sat/indica) looking leaves. i understand that some sats do have indica leaning leaf profile in early veg.

i'm not trying to imply that indica is in the mango/zamal. the lack of vigor and the "non-traditional pure sativa profile" were influences in my decision. the mango/zamal reports are very good. i'm looking for an extreme sat profile and good vigor just like my zamalish for seed's parents of a zamal dominate parentage. zamal has a classic sat profile and is very vigorous ( gets huge!).

i actually just received some of christopher's original zamal line ( according to the source). these seeds are very old so they may not germinate. if they do germinate i might have to pheno hunt for a non-hermie male that is up to par with geritt's cut. at least i have a chance to preserve the original zamal line.

the big issue with me regarding the grail sats is that their use in cash crop grail outdoor strains needs more bud structure for yield and ease of trimming. for personal smoke the extreme sats are probably better than "hybrids for bud structure". from what i've read this improved bud structure, frosty bag appeal and reducing the flowering time without taking too much away from the haze high effects and potency ( the nl utilized was very potent) is why nevil used northern lights in his haze crosses.

show me the grail od cash crop strains from seed! the only one i'm sold on so far is golden tiger which benefits greatly from the malawi dominance in hardiness, bud structure ( yield, ease of trimming). the malawi is hermie resistant and mold resistant. it is very narcotic. for up electric highs i don't see malawi from ace being applicable for electric up traditional sat high effects. zamaldelica has a great up roller coaster high effect, but it is malawi dom gt crossed into zamal so the malawi parentage is lessened in high effects and bud structure.

mango zamal might be a great cash crop od strain. i don't know. i'm trying to establish a "very zamal" seed stock for future breeding purposes at present.

I have make a zamal * panama cross. I germinate one accidently ; she (or he) is very fast to grow and present a very nice structure. Hope it will be great

^exactly what i'm talking about. my zamalish and my panamas were female and i'm doing reg seed runs right now mostly for strain preservation but also to fill up my freezer pollen jar. when i get my female seeds (cs'ing best female clones) running zamal/panama is a must do strain.

panama's got great power, resin (frost), and good bud structure w/o hermie issues. good spicy/lemon undertones terpenes. unless you take the red pheno into amber from personal experience and other posts she is more on the up energetic high effect but calm relaxing.

^^ for connoisseur smoke pr/x's into zamal, haze looks excellent.

if you look at what zamal influences did to golden tiger in zamaldelica her hybrid effects are powerful and result in extreme vigor.

my biggest problem now is securing some property that i have legal access to in order to run more than a few strains.

Oh, Iidit, now you are putting thoughts to my head....
Zamaldelica X Satori, would be sooo interesting.
I could do that.
Pity that I don-t have any Zamaldelica pollen, Maybe I need to pop some more of them from seed...
Would be nice to try Satori X Zamaldelica too....just to compaire..

How about Zamaldelica X Somango?
Got some of those Somangos coming, maybe not a bad cross...
Some Electric lemon I have coming, that would be nice too...

Damn, too many possibilities!

I have one very big Zamaldelica coming, in a big pot. It's malawi leaning pheno...it's nice to see how big it grows ;)

Popping some Zamalamadingdong beans and theyre in soil waiting to come up.

Carrot Zamal leaning FMS Zamal x skunk special crossed to an Auto male sour60 x Mi5(auto AK).

Should be interesting, its a hodge podge of good genes. The skunk brought it down to 14 weeks and the auto cross must have brought it to 10 or less. 1st f1's should not be auto and may be the perfect place to stop if i find a zamal leaning pheno done in 10 weeks or less. Maybe make it full auto too.

Hey smallgardener, have you run that selection that you have already? How long is it to fully flower?

Update: I found a nice zamal pheno, woohoo! I guess if I keep inbreeding I'll eventually have an auto zamal hybrid. hmm... Im just hoping the pheno i found finishes in 10 weeks or so.

Welcome back small gardener. I hope you’re having some success with your Zamaldelica. Seems to me that just about anything crossed with a Zamal is going to be interesting. I wondered when you left if you were having some security problem. Best wishes for a productive grow. Get your post count up!

Well, as i've said it many times before this is the best thing that i ever had the pleasure to grow in my life.

...the Zamal cross proved to be the most powerful, very very musical to the point where one could actually "see" music if that makes any sense to you...

...there was nothing to compare our stuff with... best herb ever hands down...

Greetings,

Just wanted to post here to get updates on when/if the Zamal x Thai comes out again. If this happens, I'll immediately order, along with Double Thai and Green Haze x Thai.

Dubi, your move...

B.T.W. - VanVulpen, nice report, and beautiful picture of the Zamal x Thai bud.

smallgardener,
Sorry to hear those pure zamal seed aren't viable anymore, although you never know. Perhaps a couple of the last few will surprise you. Best of luck with the zamaldelica.

Update

Update

Ding ding ding, found an 8 week hybrid foxtail pheno with the same awesome zamal buzz as the mom. Zamal dominated the crosses, 1 pheno looked just like the zamal with soaring trippy buzz ~11 weeker, (sampled, almost done). The 3rd hermed at week 6. All were stressed a bit on purpose so 1 herm aint bad. Zamalamadingdong, baby! Seeded the 11 week pheno so the progeny should be 25% auto.

Basically people, cross a 60 day auto with a zamal leaning mom and find yourself a keeper 8 week zamal pheno. These are 25% zamal but its such a dominant plant that it smokes like 75% was in there.

^ yeah, from my limited experience zamal looks pretty dominate.

i'm going to take dubi's advice and run his zamaldelica as is. i wanted a zamal dom. for breeding but the zamaldelica reports are fantastic.
