so dense that i detected the slightest beginnings of bud rot inside it.... just the beginning browning, no fuzz at all, glad i got to it when i did.

wouldya believe im still hackin plants.
just got the 3 vert drizella's down..... some very sticky ladies indeed.

next up is a couple of VP's that are straggling behind.... the lankier less desireble ones... and 5 chem's that have proven themselves to not be a true chem, some sort of chem cross perhaps, its certainly chemy, citrus deisely also.... just not worth keeping, so it's out.
then the room will be chopped completely.

thanks hashcat, it's all very sticky and frosty, some more than others but overall im content w the resin levels, not to say it couldnt be way better.

puffin some of the 707 from my mostly vert room,
smells kinda like white sage when crumbling, less citrusy when cured than during growing.... smells a lil bit of sour d.... but def more earthy & kushy

smoke flavor is sweeter than I expected, but still got flavs of sourd and earthy kush

also, i been transplanting and re-arranging things to accomodate the veg.....
next round will be my keeper pheno's of flo crosses "pink" flo x grim and "white" flo x ogk,
and colorado "tangerine" that is going around my area, not a haze or tang. dream, more sativa, and actualy resembles flo in the way taht it grows, very tight node spacing.
also a few regular flo's are in the mix.....but the room is about 1/3 of each of the pink, white and tangerine.

How many seeds do you have of this 'hermi' strain? Given enough sprouts, should still be able to find something stable. Breeding is pain. LOL

Any changes planned for the flowering room for the next run? What was your biggest issue this time around? Did you discover any time-savers you'd like to share?

ya the VP hermie problems are not a neccessary dead end.... but cause enough to explore other seed-avenues. I have prolly 150ish of them still, plenty to find most stable pheno's for further crosses or Bx'ing.
Breeding is a pain but also it's something i do to keep ganja growing interesting, seeds give me just one more (original) thing to share w people.



as for the future of this room......

biggest issue w the room
there was a hot spot in between the back 2 lights, Ill have to re-arrange the lights and add a circulating fan and possibly some fans beneath the lights, creating that "gentle column of rising hot air" across the bulb.

also a big issue was the strain list being so long, so im running all flo crosses and flo this round... and the tangerine "tange" whatever it is, im hoping it doesn't suck, got it as a clone and hoping it's worth the effort, was told it finished somewhat fast and as i've been letting my gardens go to around 70 days i could use a lil bit faster strain....

I've considered getting some sour bubble seeds, heard that is a truly fast finishing strain, saw a thread about true 55 day strains and it caught my attention several respected members answered sour bubble by BOG.

i think some of my plants could have been cut earlier, but i went 70 w the entire room because it was such a mixed bag of plants....
if i had one strain w one finishing time or even just 2 or 3 groups of plants i can cut half or 1/3 of the room when they are done, essentially cutting a light or 2, a donut or 2..... flo crosses need that 70 days im thinking, perhaps some of the ogk crosses can go less, but the grimm cross is more sativa & needs the time, perhaps more.

time savers......
ya not off the top of my head, lucas formula makes mixing nutes hella quick.... when i mix in 5 gal buckets i use 30 ml micro 60 ml bloom and bump up to 40 micro 80 bloom, then cut out all N and fed just monsterbloom 0-50-30. all pretty easy to do.
and i learned that 5-7 mL of GH pH down got my lucas mix right to 5.6 to 5.8 and i like it right in there.....
that makes things go quick..... knowing exactly how much ph up or down u need to adjust to ideal range if using the same nutes.


i like having my passive intake but i need a circulating fan to push the cool air coming in around the room, or else it drops to the floor and just cools the root zone (not ideal) or even worse my uber ghetto light corral blocks the cold air....
my short duct for passive intake wasnt long enuf to dump cold air INto the light corral, where the hot air was building up.
so
circulating fan
&
perhaps extend that duct out closer to the center of the room, 30 inches would do the trick even....
&
rearrange lights slightly......

another thing im considering is doing a few watering w plain water, I feel like I am feeding at high levels for many of my plants....perhaps leaving the levels the same and giving plain water once a week or 3 times a month.
also
have considered brewing teas to feed in between regular lucas level feedings, im already innoculating w benficials in veg, & using floralicoius plus,
perhaps tea made w a low N guana w ewc & molasses,

smoke is smooth but thick, def has that "kush cough" but still smokes sweet and floral.... leaves a lil flavory greasy feeling in the mouth after the exhale.

drizella probably the most sativa.... super silver haze looked sativa but finished faster.... perhaps the chem cross i had that masqueraded as chem4 came in 3rd.

The room is entirely cleaned out, which entailed emptying it of all things but tarps, wall plastic fans & lights, sweep, spraying down w hot bleach water 2x, rinse & wet shop vac.

now i can get it dirty again.

transplanted the largest of the "pinks" (flo x grimm keeper pheno so far) into larger (4 gallons ish) containers, 6 total, plus one chunky diesel (chocolate chunk x sourD) and one Flo; both in the same size pots as the pinks, these 8 plants comprise one "donut" around one 1k w hps. also i rigged a fan blowing straight up from beneath the light, making it more proper vert style....

next to that I have lowered the horizontal light over plants still in smaller containers: 10 or so tange's (in 3 gal ish pots) and 10 plants from seed that are my flo crosses (in 1gal pots).

this whole plant carnival i've wrapped ghettostyle in my stand up reflectix lite corral & is getting 24 hours of light.

still in veg room i have about 40 plants in 3 gal pots, mostly all pinks and "white pheno" of my flo x ogk (keeper pheno so far from that cross). also a few flo and a few smaller tange's

still in red cups:
about 6 drizella, im not running her this round, prolly let these ladies get very large, have one friend interested in them so i'll gift a clone or 2 out.

next up; more transplanting & begin cloning......

Hell yeah avi get it done my friend, no time wasted in your game I see can't wait too see them massive flo crosses blowing up like balloons again. got me interested and started checking out dj shorts flo on the bay, the price is a lil steep but if I can find some mommys like them you got it would be worth it IMO. Keep up the great work my friend.
