u try the dry trim yet bro?

not this batch, i did see that wet vs dry trim thread....
im stickin to what's easy.... i've dry trimmed before, wet trim on the regular these days, like i said, to make it easier,
i wet trim buds on the sticks, hang on rack till about ready, no snap to stems yet, then i cut buds down but still on stems, then go into a cardboard box (XL pizza boxes r perfect), this slows the drying down yet again, they usually moisten up a lil even in the box.... slowly dry, when snaps happening then i go into jars.

If i didnt have a half a million things on my plate i would def dry trim half if not more of my harvst.... at least 2 give it another chance....

finished up nice av. whats the flo smoke like?
haven't puffed any of the flo yet, some is in a piza pox but it's still a week at least from being pufed, ill post smoke reports here.

Looks great Avi. I'm not one for dry trimming neither. Trimming wet reduces your chances of mold, and speeds drying time. Also fresh scissor hash is a nice treat!

TRIM DRY PEOPLE!!!

TRIM DRY PEOPLE!!!

Having half a million things on your plate is an even bigger reason TO trim dry. Take off big fans with no frost then hang the whole fucking thing to dry. If I taught ole Jbonez anything it was that, and he thanks me regularly for it. This thinking that you must strech the drying out is old school..... cureing and drying are 2 totally different thing and you should not start the cure until buds are stem snapping dry. You dont even need scissors to trim when bud is propper dry. you dont get mold from drying before trim, you get mold when you try to cure before drying ALL the way.
Just my 2 cents

BST if you're reading try it for me pls

pwreck, i do llive in a very very very dry place, and that's why i slow it down, before when i was in the dirty dirty i had other issues like mold during drying, complete opposite of "dry to fast" where im at now..... also why i like to leave buds on the stalks during drying

dry trim is a good technique, so is wet trim.
diff. strokes 4 diff. folks

gotcha.... being in a very dry climate is way different. thats why there can't be a set amount of time to dry. I was in Colorado for a few months, i couldnt believe how the bud just turned to dust if jar left open for just a few hours. where i am now I must use a dehumidifier to dry proplerly, then if i take a nug outside to smoke on the porch it sucks up the moisture like a sponge. I think sometimes ppl over here on the eastcoast read the stuff about how growers out west dry and that is when the musty hay like herb happens. We on the same page

PW.......Startin out with bigger plants from the get inside when I started many yrs ago , I HAD ta trim wet and buck plants to get rid of excess moisture in limbs and leaves to prevent airborn nasties in the Hell of the humid south.......and I know .....

There`s 2 schools of thought in that dry trim creates a more flavorful and smelly end product.....but...Yas couldn`t prove it by me cuz my shit was always properly "slowly" dried with dehuey`s to a constant 62% before jarring and curin for at least another couple weeks to a month depending on demand.......and....

Once I learned howta strip leaves after end of stretch , by end of cycle there was all but NOTHIN ta speak of left on the vine by the time I chopped and hung whole plants.......and it was a good thingie.......anyways......

Many ways ta skin a mule , but.....slow and steady wins the race , and I tried ta trim dry back in the day with my outdoor shit and it became increasingly more annoying to my decision to stay the wet trim course.....after all....

I ain`t never been in medville and ALL the rednecks drooled over my dope even if I left the leaves on it.....but I didn`t.....Avi....Hermie`s are genetic if environmental issues are dialed......

Cull the bitches and replace em......Too many waitin fer a chance ta be all they can be......

Peace....DHF.....:ying:.....

Was talking to my friend about this just yesterday. I think I am going to try in on a small batch coming down in a week. JB said it made a huge diff for him and so did my other boy. Gotta have the best so gotta give it a try....

When I first started growing that is always how I trimmed, but now I have to think about time invested so hopefully I can get the dry trim speedy.

Dry trim AIN`T speedy , and us livin in Hell slows the dry and cure process considerably without dialed dehumidification and major air exchange.....and.....

Never said wet trim was better.......Only said I`ve dealt with hay smell and taste from too much foliage left on the vine once hung to dry , compared to getting rid of it before the most crucial process in growin dope there is........

The end result for market.....

Yeah I trimmed one time dry and that's all it took, and I think most of that plant was made into hash so I didn't have to finish it. Trimming wet all the leaves are easier to trim with my fiskars

Good to see ya around DHF..... BST yeah give it a whirl, you might like it better cause you wont have to do it all at once. I think bottom line is trimming is gonna suck no matter how you do it. Ya'll remember trimming your first harvest and how exciting it was? That quickly fades lol

I had a friend/partner one time told me he loved trimming weed and how good he was. well after the 4th plant out of 10 all I heard was whining about how his fingers were cramping from clipping leaves, after that one time he never asked to trim again actually he made it a point to be busy every time I needed to trim.......

Avi's Evil Trimming Secrets:

do it at your own pace
take breaks when you need 2
dont forget to eat and drink (water is key)
dont over smoke, being super high makes it harder for me.....
clean scissors are next to godliness

I try to not even look at the buds my partners trim anymore.... Can't tell you how many times I pick buds out of the pile with 2cm stems and long ass stems from fan leaves still on. It's like i'm trimming with Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles! Maybe should start assembly line style trimming with me on the final trim. My shoulder is starting to hurt just thinking about trimming
