Ive looked in the other aphid forums and people either dont know how to fix the issue or they suggest a systemic pesticide i dont want to smoke. So whats the deal? Many of the suggested insecticides arent meant for consumable crops. Anyone know if these are systemic and if they are out in a short amount of time? I use eagle 20 for powdery mildew and it works great and its out of the plant in 30ish days. Id love something similar to battle/prevent aphids and root gnats without harming the plants. Anyone have an idea?

Are you in Flower?

If in Veg, just use some Merit / Imid delay your schedule a week or two , by the time you harvest there should be little to no sign of it in your plants

I might Add here in about an hour i will be dosing my veg room with imid, i found first stages of RA, again...

I will be using 10-15 ML per Gallon(bayer insect), and let it soak for an hour, then continue to let the girls feed for the day, dump res, Ph'd Water and H202 to help clean dead stuff, dump res, continue feeding 50% or so, hopefully all is well...

Unfortunatley if you want totally kill them off you'll need something like merit 75. It's systemic but as long as you use in veg it will have worn off after 60 days. There are other treatments that are more plant freindly but from what I've seen they only slow them down but not totally kill them off. You need to hit them hard unless you want problems in future grows. Good luck.

I tried Azamax, Azatrol, and diatomateous earth and still see them. Tonight I'm doing a merit Coco drench I'll let you know how it goes. I wish there was another non chemical way to rid them but everyone I know that has gotten rid of them says Merit is the only way. One of my homies tried using the home depot Bayer, and said it stunted his growth bad. He did a Merit drench and said his plants are revitalized.

In a flood and drain can you just run the merit in the res? If so for how long? With nutes? No nutes?

Wondering this as well^ What to do about RA in rockwool. How to go about using Merit in rockwool.
Crooked, Have you figured it out or any other methods?, you get rid of the RA??

Yes imid is the ticket. Run it in veg and i never see em in flower anymore. One flood with imid(merit) in the res and theyre done

How much per gallon for the hydro rez merit 75? Did you mix a whole rez with just the imid and water, no nutes or add to rez with nutes? So, you flood once and then do you toss that rez and start with a new one with fresh nutes? Thanks

I use just water and merit, the dosage is on the bottle. No nutes although i think i have done it with nutes. Either way when you do it youll be amazed.

Any Imid product will work fine in rez. 24 hours is what i've ran. To be honest as long as your in veg you can run Bayer Tree & Shrub just fine. Just be sure you don't do it unless you still have not flipped to flower.

But one thing that works amazing wonders that you should NEVER not use...is Dr. Doom's bug bomb. Trust me. this vapor pyrethrum or something kills aphids like theres no tomorrow. and it's extracted from a flower so it's not crazy. I run these right after transplant and then every few weeks as a preventative ever since I got a terrible aphid infestation that I almost lost whole crop.
