hi
i'm trying to put together a new lighting system for a cab, 600mm x 500mm.
does anyone know where i can get a 150 watt lamp and ballast in Aussie.
A home security or outside wall light, with inbuilt ballast, is OK as long as i can take it apart and modify it.

There was a lighting place selling ballasts and maybe lamps 150w in the Mornington industrial complex.

Just before the roundabout on the right, but this was a few years back.

I recommend looking at a 400w cmh bulb which runs off a 400w hps ballast but runs much cooler.

Forget superthrive and use something organic like kelp or worm leachate via compost tea or just as is.

I like the clear plastic bpa and lead free boxes plus lids now widely available, made by Starmaid.

:smoweed:

Thanks SS how about something like maxicrop seaweed concentrate or gogo juice from bunnings. Also I want to use the container for a small stealth dry box so I don't want a clear one, where do hou find these starmaid containers.

Cheers SS can I use gogo juice on my clones instead of rhizotonic? The ingredient list seems similar.

^ Looks like they have all sorts of goodies. I was using a farm and leachate for a while and it seemed to work well. I had to go over seas for an extended period and the poor little buggers perished. I was wondering if anyone has any experience using the castings after they have been left for a while? Can you make a tea out of it or is it not as good? I think it will need to be heavily diluted, seems to have caused a bit of burn just after putting a couple of little pieces in one of the pots.

those prices seem expensive for the worm cast

bulk castings $300 (not sure how much i assume 1m3 but could be wrong. Free delivery sydney area they also do wormway casting for 8.80 a bag o f 20 litres i think.

northern rivers / se qld http://www.earthlyworms.com.au/products.php?action=viewProduct&id=13 cubic meter $275

but shop around. A few years ago i got quoted an unbelievable deal from a feed lot in south oz of tonnes of the stuff but didnt jump on it. really cheap like 2 grand for a semi trailer of it delivered to my old farm. Its out there just hasnt been marketed all that well.

Yeah $40 for 20 litres does sound like a lot. The guy I go through in WA does it for $13 with delivery. I think I may have to get some more, its not a lot to pay seeing as the old stuff seems to have something wrong with it.
