There's a sea of top notch genetics out there that you'll never be able to wade through, man. But since we're giving out suggestions, I'll add my vote for Ace and Cannabiogen. Stuff like Bangi Haze will give you the old school sativa you want without the long flowering time. There's also PCK from Ace and CBG and Peyote Purple from CBG. If you're looking for an indica, check those out.
And like someone else already mentioned, Golden Tiger (Malawi/Thai) is a beast. Long flowering, but it might just be the best I've ever smoked.

After doing a lot of research, I'm gonna grow some gear from Mandala. Google them, check out their descriptions, and see if anything interests you there.
Only other suggestion I can provide is check out the Seed Vendor Forums here on ICMag. You'll get the good, bad, and ugly about more strains than any of us will ever be able to grow. Sooner or later you'll come across a post somewhere that'll make your choice easy.
Look in the hydro forums and check out people that grow in a similar way to you. They may grow strains you've never considered or have dismissed.
Look at the Boo and Bay for strain details. There may be some crosses sent in for the server fund that appeal to you.
So stop reading our drivel, you're the one who's gotta grow it and smoke it.

Super Lemon Haze from Greenhouse. I don't give a f*ck who hates on me for this, but it's one of my all time fav's of about the 75 i have grown. A ten pack should get you the pheno i had, straight lemon funk, loaded with crystals, nice big fat buds, haze taste mixed in with the lemon taste, and smells like lemons. My particular pheno could be harvested at 8 weeks, and the time i took one to ten weeks, the smoke was crippling, even more so than normal. You will not be disappointed....

I have only a few posts here on IC mag, but I´ve been growing ganja for 10 years now, ... I´ve grown in, out, organicly, hydroponicaly, and have tasted quite a few variaties, and , a a cannaseur, I love to read and research about cannabis.
that being said, I take in mind a few factors about wich strains you look for.
well, the 60´s and 70´s in north america was the era of the Hippies, and the golden age for the pot heads, thats because pot was beeing smuggled not only from mexico, but also from colombian mountains! almost 3000 meters above ocean ground.
most os the strains you mentioned are pure sativas, or have heavy sativa influence, and tropical sativas cultivated at 3000 meters above sea level are known to produce highly praised for THC glands, and terpens come out SHARP.... untill today, hairloom cannabis from colombian mountains are top notch ( I say that, becuz once in a while this stuff comes across my area) the bad news is, indoor these plants won´t represent what ir represents when grown in the mountains, not eave close, not to mention hermie issues...nutrient fussyness..... no matter how skilled of a grower you are, it will be virually impossible for you to finish a 18-26 week tropical sativa indoor...and eaven if you maneged to do so.... you would have to have much..much..much more light, to bring out the real potential of these plants....so unfortunately, you won´t be able to grow indoor, the same product you used to smoke, 30 years ago....but don´t worry, there is still good cannabis that can be grown under 600W and still give out wonderfull nugs! of superb ganja.....
as a few fellow members mentioned... ACE seeds have a couple of fast flowering sativas that might do the trick for you.... golden Tiger maybe.... with its Thai / african influence.... and Cannabiogen as well, with their Destroyer.
these variaties might resemble some oldschool traits and all of them cost about 50 Euros.... but I strongly suggest you read about some newschool genes.... there are some good people working with some crazy genetics making whicked hybrids! drenche in trichome and smelly smelly herb .... search de seedbay for some good Chem crosses, ore some prized OG cross ..... also some preaty nice indicas to try IMHO Peyote purple....Sensi Star ... these are the 2 best indica dominant plants that I have grown... Peyote has a mellow high, verry good taste, covered in trics... and the SS feno I kept as a mom, is justa absolutely stunning.... when smoked, tastes like a rusty skunky lemony tang ...and the smel on the bud, pre-combustion is exactly like that juice that runs off from trash bags.... don´t know how to say in english.... but in portuguese we call it " Chorume" ... it smells like vinagre, ketchup...verry sour stench...but I must say, this specific SS feno, was different from all the other SS seeds I popped, I guess I got rael luck.... hope this could help out on your search for the supreme ganja!

u can get sick strains for great prices.. SEEDBAY is were u wana go for cheap.. and Attitude seedbank hasnt let me down either.. but im doing all my future shopping is threw seedbay only.. i just found out how great there deals are.. and since i am sending in shit for donation. i think they do great work !!!..

I'm 47 and know what your saying about back in the day. Well these seedbanks have strains that produce a similar if not the same effects we enjoyed back then.
Also the fact that other posters are recommending the same must count for something.
See what others say too......so many breeders/strains to choose from these daze.

Do what I've been doing and stop looking at the strains and hybrids sections of these forums. Its a mix of ignorance, hype, marketing, dick sizing and so many more horrible personality traits.
Just check out recent grows, find out where someone got what strain and did they do a seed run or get a proven clone? Its been said before but those things will tell you more than most other sources you are looking for/at.

my only suggestion is to save up more money. 100 doesnt get you shit and especially not a connoseur nickname
If you want a blast from the past then you are talking pure Sativa and long flowering times. You can get some that will finish in 12 weeks though and that's not too bad. Ace and Cannabiogen are a good place to look and you should check out SnowHigh for sure. You may want to check directly with Snow for unreleased beans ( he is the guy that named Golden Tiger for Ace ) sorry but I can't remember his handle here. I have a Purple Colombian pheno of Black Haze from him, can't do much better than that.
