I believe you've characterized YOURSELF as such in reference to the 'SYSTEM' and how I described it above. I don't think you're a lazy cat at all, but If I was to characterize my perception of the 'system' in relation to you, I'd say you are chasing your tail. DHF made an awesome post some where contrasting the 'PPK' with Health's fast flood hydro and IDEOLOGY. I've expressed the same thoughts in the past and anyone new to growing who is doing their homework can draw their own conclusions. For someone who lacks the ability to communicate, I've reduced a lot of words describing what makes the 'PPK' actually unique...down to a single theory. I love new theories, but I think differently when they contradict other theories that seem to have been proven for decades or simple physical laws such as the diffusion of gases.
Why not just keep a pump or something in the rez to break the surface tension of the water which brings oxygen into the solution? Too simple? ....Yeah, I already know about how the 'system in theory' needs side holes or doesn't, how the medium provides oxygen (which it doesn't when a medium such as Turface is flooded..a little damage over and over again adds up; without submerging my tailpiece and playing with the Blumat dials I was able able to get those upside down leafs too, and when I had roots to the bottom bucket, they only looked more sad), and how there is a theory O2 might move from the canopy down to the roots... Maybe there is a reason we can't get some pics of all these roots being talked about...after the dead ones been clipped off there might not be much left, but who's got time to do that stuff when a cat's grow is set-it-and-forget and can't risk the safety himself or herself, or takin a simple blow to a cat's ego. I can express honesty and my good intentions in anyway I would like in accordance with your framework of though... I personally try to keep things simple when they work...a cat tries to follow the golden rule
