Just wondering if i can feed my plants on carbonated fizzy bottled water, or will the bubbles fuck up the roots?
Is there a reason you want to deliver co2 to the roots?
In place of typing out a wall of text here - No, don't do that.
If your gonna use the water use it to spray your plants foliar style. As the water evaporates it releases the C02 that the leaves assimilate. Roots dont need it the rest of the plant does.
Remember to use just after lights come on so you don't burn your leaves from the droplets magnifying the lights effect.
yep, pH yr water.
despite the eminently logical rationales presented above I don't think it will make any difference at all. but if yr worried open the bottles the day before and let them go flat.
pH yr water tho. could have all sorts of crap in it. (unless you believe what yr health authority and the label says.)
cheers!
If you want to raise co2 levels in your tent either use a propane burner, bottled co2, or exhale or other brand of co2 bag.
I vegged those for a couple months under t8s and then a few weeks weeks under the HID. You can see the change from the first pic to the second is where most of the veg growth took place (under the hid). You should look into the exhale bags. Couldn't hurt and not super expensive. If nothing else you could hack them and make some of your own. It's just some kind of mycelium in a growing medium in a bag. They put out more co2 for a longer period of time than other methods like sugar/water/yeast. The thing you need to know is that none of these methods will raise the co2 level like a burner or bottle. If you have good ventilation I suggest you just worry about co2 later on down the line when you know everything else is dialed in. Best of luck.
Also please please do not start your seeds until your tent is setup with the lights and fans and you have given it a couple days to monitor the temps. I just noticed you are only getting set up for what seems to be your first run, right?
So here's what I would recommend:
1)Tell us what kind of light and what kind of ventilation you have. Also, go ahead and set it up and measure the temps and report back.
2) Let us know what kind of medium you are using (soil? coco? rockwool?)
3) Get a ph meter and ph down. Most people never use ph up IME, but maybe you will need it. I would buy the ph meter, calibration solution, and ph down first.
I would suggest that you get some high quality soil and nutes. You will thank yourself later if you have the money now.
