Nirvana's Haze at 44N, had to harvest it early in the middle of November due to security reasons - it got too big and stayed green when all vegetation around it lost its leaves, it could be seen from quite afar.

I have 6 bonus seeds of Ace's Tropical Mix (2012), and 5 of them are small and dark just like Haze seeds should be. According to Dubi most of the seeds in the Tropical Mix are Green/Purple Haze x Thai. I'd love to try these and hopefully will in 2014 as the stash from this Haze here might be over till then.

Sideshow-bob, By the way I love your titan's haze and this whole thread.

Bohempian, so you are saying the breeder told you nectar haze = pure haze19? Didn't they cross it to something then? I'm surprised. I've grown only two plants as far as I can remember (one male), but they looked like hybrids to me. I thought they also advertised it as an "early" haze suitable for more northern grows.

Yoss, I love your epic thread with your haze from nirvana.

BUt something id like to touch on is the fact that not many have reported any Mexican qualities being present in the Haze lines

BigHerb – Because of a particular Neville’s Haze individual that I stumbled across that IMHO was one of the best and most powerful highs I have ever experienced, I have been obsessed with the Mexican heritage of the Haze line. I judge that I am similarly obsessed as you and others are of the Frankincense trait.

I have been sampling for 44 years, but I don’t have a lot of experience with Mexican as far as I know. The reason I think the individual I found was expression of a Mexican strain, is because of a posting of what was reported to be Lowland Oaxacan, “Sugarcane”, as well as descriptions of the Highland Oaxacan effects. Motaco posted the images, and looked shockingly like the Haze individual that I once had. Here is a link to Motaco’s posting on the Highland Oaxacan thread:

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=42695&page=7

I downloaded this image long ago from one of Motaco’s postings that I cannot seem to find again. I hope Motaco does not mind. I’ll delete if I hear from him:

I have heard that Haze had Acapulco Gold in it. However, if one looks at a map, Acapulco is a coastal city very near the border of the Oaxaca state. Acapulco Gold was very highly regarded and may have actually been Motaco’s Sugarcane, or Sugarcane sold as Acapulco Gold to take advantage of the popularity of the Acapulco Gold name.

I am a new member to ICMAG, but I have a few postings about this subject, whether directly or obliquely. Lowland Oaxacan in Haze is my version of the Frankincense obsession. Here are some of my postings related to this subject :

Directly addressing the Lowland Oaxacan to Motaco:

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=36922&page=14
(post 199)

Changing the subject from Thai to the Haze Lowland Oaxacan:

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=236871&page=6
(post 85, last paragraph)

Discussing using Oaxacan to improve Thai strains:

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=42695&page=158
(post 2359)

And earlier in this very thread:

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=255216&page=3

(post 34)

After all, what matters is to get that magic Haze high, which is the perfect balance between the asian trippy focused high and the emotional euphoric high of Mexican and Colombian strains.

Yoss33’s description of the magic of the Haze high is what I experienced from the Mexican, Sugarcane, expression of the Haze strain and is why I chose my username to be ThaiBliss.

Bohempian: yeah i grew those in 2007, i didn't like the smoke of the buds so she was turned completely into dry sift, made for a nice cube of very blonde, almost white, dry sift that smelled of sickly-sweet baby vomit *yummy* but they performed way better than the seedsman indian haze i had outdoor in the year before the top haze :D

Nice Nectar Haze far up north Stone Locust!

yoss33: Wow! ... don't know to say much more than Wow! thanks for sharing :)

Nice Monkey Haze Fluffy! bet she smokes lovely... i dream of a othaze x dc hybrid - that one should have tons of potential for pure incense phenos...

ok i'll write a bit about the kali mist...

It is one of the best hazy sativa-lines out there, very reliable... it covers a nice range of hybrid phenos up to very pure sativa phenos with the occasional more indica leaning plant. The aromas are incense in all varieties, mostly hashy and fruity incense. The kali incense is more of a nagchampa templehash incense than catholic church incense. The fruity side covers light tones like pear and ginger. When you smoke some kali the whole room will reek of kali for a long time. It mostly smells better than it tastes, but some really nice tasting phenos as well, it can be a bit harsh on the throat but with selection smooth phenos can be found as well... the high is fantastic, uplifting, creative, trippy, euphoric (with occasional more racy phenos), most have a ceiling - but it's not easy to reach *g* i have smoked 100% pure sativas that were more muddy, taxing and crash-inducing than kali ;) very little issues with hermaphrodism (at least in the female side, male side is a different story) too... she became a favorite quickly for me...

i'll write more... but for now some pics will do the talking...

thx :)

very interesting! wasn't aware of the burning bush till now... i think i remember reading that nevil said he got haze seeds directly from the haze brothers and not sam, so this is news to me.

Quote:
Well Bigherb, I wouldn't swear on a kilo of Haze Hash, that he told me that he grew them himself.
I seem to remember one batch had a number of years mixed together something like '66,'67,'68. A prominent ancestor was a thing called "Burning Bush". If Sam didn't grow burning bush then the person that did will be able to tell us more
Quote:
I didn't say the bag was labeled burning bush. Sam said something about burning bush being an ancestor of the Haze. If Sam is Knowsitall4sure then he didn't smoke Haze til '71.
If that's true, what would he know about seeds made by somebody else 2 years before he had even smoked the variety?
N

Nice work on digging out that quote Biggie .
I also remember Nevil saying that some of the "Haze seeds " were probably hybrids as some of the plants were earlier and didn`t have traditional Sativa structures .
Makes me wonder were the seeds acquired by Nevil already hybridised ??

@ SSB

The New York Haze seeds myth is perpetuated to this very day by High Times . A recent edition recants the NY Haze seeds story .
Pretty poor reporting IMO. As Nevil told his side of the Haze acquisition Story @ Mr Nice forum a cpl of years back . And it didn`t involve New York ...

I could pull up all the quotes but im tryin not to get into all that in Bob's thread .Also i think you recall what happen when I spoke on that at MNS forums in my thread

High Times is a joke ,Its bud porn an a beginners guide but much misinfo is printed commonly .To think they published British Hempires Haze Article an still tell twisted facts of Nevs Haze stock authenticity an they Never even Responded to my several Attempts at having my article published

They could have had some Honest info for a change LMAO

BTW

Whats even more Funny sad actually I never even seen my Article in the magazine in person Marco is another Funny Guy .I guess they all are

Yep I hear yah . Discretion is the better part of valour at times . Frustrating though it might be to hear BS perpetuated there is a time and place for such debates .
Glad I was able to shed a little light but that`ll do for now ...

Sideshow, if you care...please tell us more about your environment indoors. Lights, cycle, soil and nutrients, etc. You've truly got a knack for making true sativas sing inside.

she smokes almost like pure haze, while its possible to chop her in 9-10 weeks so.. as you can see F2 beans, when done right(respect to TomHill work!), are great for finding something like this.. effect is very trippy, so much trippy that you are out of this world, no connection.. strong psychedelic ride...

and are you dreaming to use deep chunk as female or male?

beautiful kalis!!!!!!!!!!! i know that dubi is kali fan too... was it hard to choose keeper? and how long do your keeper flower for? i know there are 10 weeks finishers as welll as 13 weeks.. templehash incense makes me drooling.. i still remember joeshmoes kali.. she was phenomenal.. my bro sensi run some fem kalis but didnt find keeper..my bro Periphery selected 10 week kali, some time ago.. and the structure of flower resembles chronic a lot:

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showpost.php?p=2503921&postcount=86
so for sure it was crossed with chronic imo... and it takes flowering down, as well as ceiling.. dont you notice difference in ceiling qualities between new and old kali?

but from 19 females.. there must be keepers  all are really beautiful! good notes on taste.. interesting info on males.. not so good when you want to reproduce it for yourself.. wish i can smoke spliff of kali with you bro :tiphat:

:thank you:

I found the MNS NL #5 Hz a pretty impressive plant . Indoors and out . Clone or seed plant its a good commercial Haze option .
Good vigour , several different phenos . Potent though a hybrid effect in the ones I grew . Smoke too much your takin a nap .
They had the incense in the air thing after a smoke for sure .
I grew some C5 x Ortega a while back . that threw a real high flyer pheno .The breeders selected towards non dominant males to try to allow the old cut to shine through .
I have some HPHz x La Nina and AG13 x La Nina from the same crew I will get to in the future .

Thanks for sharin
