Its incredible, I couldn't draw crosses to save my life, so it was an effort.

The multi-intake scrubber, I realize now, may have limitations and steal air from each other when being pulled, however, I think I have that figured out too.

Hopefully I haven't stepped on any one's toes or any laws of physics.

Feedback greatly appreciated.

hmm honestly looking closer at that reflector it looks ...to me atleast that he did a DIY to the reflector wings doesn't look natural and the main frame of the reflector looks like a DIY security light. i might be wrong tho. so don't quote me on that, if that bud just wasn't covering the sticker. ive never seen one made by any company like that. just my 2cent.

Yeah its definitely a security wall pack with a DIY reflector. I have a few more thoughts about the setup.

I think you are making the right choice going vert with the CFLs ;). I found that I MUST have fans blowing on the CFLs to keep them cool enough. This leads to a ventilation problem though if your fan isn't powerful enough to pull through your homade scrubber and able to pick up the air flow from your cooling fans ( you just end up blowing hot air throughout the cab and increasing temps) I've never done active intakes but my next cab design I'm going to give it a try because there are some people growing with 70w hps in a pc case and getting enough ventilation utilizing this design method. I'm sure you've seen mr micro's pc. But that thing is a blue print for success IMO if you scale it up properly. I just honestly think for adequate ventilation to get the desired results you should look at something larger than pc fans( s&p, can fan etc) 100 bucks on amazon for 190 Cfm can and filter.

I have in my little CS laundry hamper cab a scythe ultra kaze 3000 pulling through a pencil cup scrubber( obviously not the most optimal scrubber design) and its cooling 3 26 watt CFLs keeping temps in the high 80's ( 15 degrees or so above ambient) its pulling just enough to get a little fresh air but that's about it if I put the leaves right next to the scrubber they wouldn't even move from the air flow lol.

Just some of my own observations. I've never had experience with the fan type you plan on using though so im interested to see how it works out if you do continue down that path.

Hate the 5 pic limit on some things, oh well, can't complain about free beer.

Here are the design schematics I whipped up on Paint for completion.
Alot of this is from talking back and forth over the last few weeks, hopefully this can lead to more discussion. Peace.o.

Day 8:12/12 temp tub cab.

Bagseed that I now have S2's from.

Girls have been beat up in this grow, being moved, chopped up by the little circulation fan repeatedly  [operator error], but they are still vigourous and fighting off the light burn.

I also mainly use only a nettle fertilizer for my veg period and I had 5 gallons go bad and had to use other alternatives over the last few weeks........

[FERT REGIME]
It's odd, I collect everything and ferment or compost all of soil and home-made ferts. The results in 2012 speak for themselves https://www.icmag.com/ic/album.php?albumid=38021

I will get into ratios and what exactly I use little bit later. Thanks for tagging along!

I thought it was Diy and the upper part looks like the icebox polish and cut and bolted upside down which is cool, I have that part.

From the other thread, I am rocking a temporary flower tub, so I need to get cracking, I have like 2" inches to the lights tops and I keep pushing them horizontally and its only Day 8 of the flip, I better get cracking.

I think you are making the right choice going vert with the CFLs

.
Appreciate the input, I have some uneasiness about reflection, especially if I hang a scrubber between the lights, but its the layout in my temp tub and they love it.

Your right 100% and I have looked at a dayton combo w/ the $40 4"x10" can filter on the 'bay, but that's not in the budget.
I maybe have $70 tops to finish up. Over the last 2 weeks I have learned a lot, looking back at some of the duct fans, marine blowers and others, I laugh a little, because they were damn near worthless for what I am attempting, not that they are a terrible product or anything, not at all.

The Papst blowers are way expensive new, probably $75 starting, so the few I have found on Ebay and Amazon have been fairly cheap about $20.
I am definitely considering this one from digikey:
NMB Blower 1.6A 38cfm 1.9 in H20 pressure 12v

They are right on the cusp of venting w/ a scrubber at 5 minute intervals in the 3.4cf [roughly] cab.

If I could find a slight larger Orion like the 55cfm, I will jump on it. Most likely I hope to barter on Craigslist.
[/quote]

The blowers will need a custom scrubber and I am prototyping now! I think I can make it all work. I definitely am trying to put some thought and effort into this, so I appreciate the advice.

If I can't run the blower, I am back to square one.

sga: I don't know if I have chimed in, but I have gone thru your thread a couple of times dude! Like the setup, very much, my limitations right now are getting the scrubber inside the cab. That being said, I am always spinning the wheels in my brain and DIG your setup, outstanding!

Does the fridge work?

Stick it on a timer. Sealed fridge grow. 70w HPS FTW.

Fridge was DOA, which helps. I have been on the lookout for a 150 hps! :kos: [Might bake-a-round if I have to go with a dayton/scrubber combo.]

Basically have a shit budget to finish everything in 2-3 weeks. Ideally Im hoping that a little careful planning will let me run a different light setup w/out ripping everything out each time. After a run or two, Im hoping to drop the arduino/raspberry pi into it.

Rolling into week 4

Rolling into week 4

humble myself a little.
[cab is diff, but super functional, next round = improvements]

Soil
-Recycled soil / mint compost /household food scrap compost
-sawdust- cherry and fir
-shredded newspaper
-river sand [1/8"]
-peat
-perlite
-biochar
-river clay [basically DIY azomite]
-epsom salt
-Diatomaceous Earth

Feeding

-Watering every 2 days or so, every 3rd watering gets ferts. Magnesium sulfate every 2 weeks as well.

1st week
hydrolized fish guts 50mL

liquid nettle extract 100ml
2nd & 3rd week
DIY Flowering Formula [hydrolized plant flowers]

Fermented Plant Extract Thread ICMAG

Everything I do is mainly here in Organic section of the forums. I don't consider this an organic grow, this is a systemic grow.

Cab is done, cfls are hung...3 2700k 26w's..1 6500k 26w....1 4000k 13w.

I used a toilet flange to mount my fan, works perfect, currently it is flipped around, so the lip can mount to a home-made scrubber. 92mm 50cfm $5 goodness. Only running the fan @ 5v

Temps averaging about 80 near the lights, but still a foot to go or so and RH is dropping finally @53% and going down.

Girls first day/night at day 16 12/12. Not looking so hot, but we'll get there.

2nite before bed....they have perked up and I have the canopy a little more adjusted evenly.

Nice looking good so far. Wanna see the scrubbaaaa =D

Its being worked on, I have pic, not too far along however.

One drawback has been the horizontal lights. Chloe you were right vertical is absolutely the way to hang these lights, Next Round!

blumats! blumats! those would be sweet for your setup!
Yeah, put that in my 1st post. Also browsed your thread about DIY blu-mats, get it up and going! I like the intelligent posts, better than the ones of you talking shit on everybody, keep it up!

Day 20: [4th day overall in the fidge]

Built this little micro-cloner to fit in the fridge at a later date and my tiny ass veg cab. Need to adjust the sprayers, but 4out of 5 pucks are dripping, the one kadykorner to the pump is dry, overall a success. All free stuff laying around 2day!

Has anybody ran their cloner at 30 minutes on/30 off????

Here's the scrubber skeleton for the FULL vertical setup:

Basically a piece of trash on the side of the road.

I am going to cut it in half to use with my current setup......little plastic welding, little carbon, little hot gun glue action smaction....grow safe compadres

Hey now, haven't seen an update in a bit, do you run interior ventilation? I am having the same problem.

Updates!

Screw the haters, us vets have to stick together. If they knew you were helping disabled vets, maybe they would shut their mouthz.
