Canna's Mean Green 146 watt Cab!! *Multi Strain*

sup guys! heres the mean green cabinet.acual grow space3'x1'x3')
its running on 146 watts of cfl (daylight and white light), i have panda film coverring the walls for reflection. no exhaust fan yet, will be getting one in the next few days though. Im thinking of getting a regular bathroom exhaust fan and mounting it to the top of the cabinet, taking all the hot air out through the top out the window. i have two personal fans blowing at the ladies and circulating the air in there.
the medium im using is coco soil mix, by roots organics. i stand by this mix, it works miracles if you know coco. In veg right now using; Floranova Grow, Protekt, Cal-Mag, H&G Root Excelerator. they dig the recipe.
it is a Multi strain grow as always..Real happy with a gift from a buddy of mine : Legend Ogk (unknown), i also very psyched about the Kalashnikova from Greenhouse, a cup winner, it should have some nice looking buds. last but not least, PBK (clone).

Been thinking about a carbon scrubber for this cabinet, cause i dont want to spend all that $ for one at the hydro shop. Thinkng of doing the pencil cup method. anyone have any ideas? will this method work for this cab? maybe i should do two of them.help is welcome!!

thanks man! the colors are Cool white and Daylight. The Big CFL is a 60 watt full spectrum growlight, it is 8 1/2" long. pretty fuckin big comared to a regular cfl, lol.

I think i definitely have some heat issues, (my legend's leaves are curling downwards)
am i right? or what could it be?

If it isn't heat causing the leaf issues, it will soon be as the plants get larger and into flowering. You really need to get some exhaust going in that cab.

Problems might be pH, but I've never run coco so I can't help you with that. Not sure what feeding/runoff/etc values should be.

thanks for stoping by and answering my question Blynx! i appreciate it as i vow to your work! i am getting an exhaust fan today, the thing is i dont know if is should get a bathroom fan, or would 2 X 60 cfm fans work?
anyone have an idea?

Is odor going to be an issue/concern for you?

If it isn't then I would think two 60cfm fans mounted toward the top of the cab exhausting air would work.

If odor will be an issue, then I would probably go with a bathroom fan mounted on the top of the cab with a 'sandwich style' (ie scrubber inbetween top of cab & fab) carbon scrubber like I have on my 11" x 11" cfl cab.

Either way you go, you will also need to make some intake holes in the floor/lower part of your cab (might need to make light traps for them).

go with the bathroom fan to be safe. my experience with pc fans was not the best.
next time rotate your pics before you upload. besides that everything looks nice.

Hows it goin fellas!
so i went and got the bathroom exhasut fan (70 cfm),i made the holes for intake and the exhaust and whalahh!

however the shelf where the plants were standing on, collapsed. now they are a bit lower then where they used to be. i hope this doesn't matter...
the legend og is doing a bit better then previously( i adjusted the PH)
i think we are right on track again, i just have to keep my PH in check.
Platinum Bubba Kush- day 23, its doin a bit better now that the ph is 5.5

the seedling is doing just fine, im just spraying the medium with low dosages of protekt and cal mag, whenever i see it dries up.
yes i did get the exhaust system up and running
there is the hole from which the fan is suckin the air through.. i am goign to make the scrubber today.

i made the carbon scrubber using sugabear's netpot tecnique. no more odors in the room
the legend has some weird discoloration on teh foliage, i think it might be from the PH ? I have changed the PH since i noticed this.

The PBK is growing real quickly, starting to train it outwards.looking forward on seeing how she responds to the training.

the Kalashnikova is growing pretty slowly in my opinion.. do you guys recommend starting them in soil, instead of cocomix . would soil promote faster growth??

I decided to make the cab a SCROG, so i built a screen like the one i had on my last grow. hoping in about 2-3 weeks she'll fill it out, and i could flip her also transplanted her into a 3 gal pot. her roots were popping from the bottom of the pot!!
i decided also to take the pbk and kalashnikova over to a buddys house to leave vegging for a month or so. excited to see them when theyre bigg.
so i have just the legend og (unknown), in the Mean Green cab.
