Check craigslist. I find sealed food grade blue barrels for 20-25 bucks. Sometimes vinegar, sometimes soy sauce.

Give em a rinse and you're good to go.

I clicked also.......almost all the reviews are negative. Most complaints pertaining to our needs are negligable but sold out as stated.

Yup. I've seen them for around $50 though. I guess just depends on who is selling them.

These would have been military grade. Extra thick plastic containing UV inhibitors and dark black so no light gets through allowing algae to grow inside.

Our ranch supply sells the blue ones for 35$ Want black? 1.99 x2 for spray paint. Those military barrels do sound pretty cool tho.

Check your local beer brewing supply house. They get malt in 55 gal blue barrels
with removable lids and usually sell the barrel for 25-35 bucks.

I get the thick white food grade barrels for $25 but they will make your place smell like coke syrup for a couple months no matter how you clean them.

Lots of different types of places have barrels sitting out back for cheap. just gotta ask around

I got 6 blue food grade barrels from a food packing plant, free. These would be places that package and ship microwave or fast food type meals to stores. Do a little research. They're nondescript factories so ya gotta be a detective.

Also seen a guy selling rain barrels for $85 out front his house last year.

And there's usually enough left to brew a batch:) The mold will be cooked off, lol.
