Growing herbs to mask the smell of your herb

I just noticed that I smell thyme more than anything in my room, meaning you don't smell anything else ATM and we're in early and mid bloom over here. I forgot I have some Thyme cuts I took in cups down at the base of the plants and I suspect they may be starting to flower. Anyway, you get the gist. I have ONA too, but I smell the Thyme over the ONA. There's probably better and more pleasant smelling herbs that would do the trick as well.... I wonder if Lemon Verbena throws off a lot of scent? I love that smell!

The mint family is a wonderful place, thyme, rosemary, basil, lavendar, etc. etc.

I am going with Pineapple Mint [mentha suaveolens], Dill and Catnip [Nepata cataria].

Rosemary is good, but is best when its really hot and dry, basil is on par with the other mints. I also have some chocalate mint this year, actually got cuttings from the wild and they have done ok thru winter. It smells undeniably like chocalate for sure and might be thrown into the scrubber next run.......

It seems that mint loves a little touch on the sweet to the soil and they pour ouy the fragrance, secret ingredients are cool.

Chocolate mint? I will have to look that up, it sounds very cool! OK, to guess where you're located, PNW maybe, based on your Avatar... Right country? I guess you could be in Canada, aye?

Edit: I just pulled up Chocolate Mint...that's a pretty plant. I noticed some get a nice red center to their leaves; do you know if that is seasonal or just what they do when they reach a certain age?

Just realized that it is just a cultivar of Peppermint [mentha x piperita] and I have a wild source that I took a start from. [See pic]
Couple of leaves are darker in Top Right corner, but from experience I would say it is more around flowering only. Even the wild sources that are perennials, are pretty green right now as new growth starts to pop.
Very cool mint, if you can find it, give it a try.
