LAPD Cmdr. Andrew Smith says the department's Chief Charlie Beck met with the women in their Torrance home Saturday to apologize and tell them he had arranged for someone to donate a new pickup truck.

There was a story I seen on the computer about a cop who got a call about a boyfriend breaking glass and fighting with his girlfriend at her apt., in an apt. complex, with lots of neighbors side by side.
The girlfriend calls the cops. She's in the kitchen cleaning up the glass and talking to her friend on the phone after the dude leaves, and the cops bust in and shoot her in the face!
They thought the glass and loud talking was a domestic violence in the making/real time, so he goes in and says the gun shot itself by accident.
LOL. 1st rule after "safety on/off is "always keep your finger off the trigger unless you are gonna shoot. Keep it off the trigger to the side of the gun."

What is a shame is that this guy is not mentally stable, just like most cops. I am sure there is many disgruntled ex-L.A. police officers that have been fired for the same reasons he was. If they joined forced to get real information to the real media that supports whistle blowers like Wikileaks; they could have exposed corruption on a wider scale, and he could have made a real difference with ZERO VIOLENCE. Killing people really is just stupid when you think about it.
