I just spoke with my mail carrier whom I have known for years and he told me that the DEA asked them to report on any suspicious activities at homes along their routes. He said they did a whole presentation on what to look for. Grow containers, blacked out windows, aggressive dogs, unchecked mail, smells and alot more. They told them during the presentation that the reason they are asking for their help is that the state and local police have their own laws/budgets/issues and many are refusing to help like they have in the past, but the PO employees are all federal workers and required to report suspected crimes. Seems like they are getting very desperate. Just thought some of you could use the info. Good luck!

I've heard about programs that try to wrangled trash men into this kind of thing too, to report any suspicious trash they find in peoples cans etc...

they are still the only carrier that requires a warrant to open mail and/or search your house, UPS and FED X will narc you out in a minute and if you are not careful, they'll help with the sting, i.e. they'll use the driver to get you to open the door to sign, etc. Im in a med state so I doubt very seriously, unless said postman claims a greenhouse or two, that anything new will happen. Sorry, fear mongering is rampant these days.

Now that's going postal! Like these poor people don't have enough on their hands already. They're already getting stretched to avoid friendly interactions. Quotas and management keep them so busy they have not time for a chit chat. Striped them of their humanity, then send them off with a checklist of prejudice & paranoia. That is shady, what's next a doctor scheduling yearly gun safety checks?

Just what a postal delivery worker needs. Having their customers regard them as narcs. Somebody is going to get shot as a result of this. Whoever thought this up has their head up their ass.

Several years ago the feds decided to press medical workers to be aggressive in pressing patients to divulge illicit drug use. Anyone with an education in social health knows that this will only prevent users from seeking medical care when they need it. But what do facts matter when you have an agenda?

Might be time for me to start saying thanks to the postman and giving him a little wave each time he drops the mail off. Everyone likes a nice guy. Well not everyone. I'm sure they're are arsehole postmen/women out there but i'd like to think that most are just ordinary people doing a shit job. The reward system/idea is a scarey proposition.

Um, Thirsty Kenny, these guys are in the U.S.A., though that doesn't mean here in Oz we don't have our own special problems. But one good point that we can take notice of is the thing about being careful about how you get rid of stuff in the garbage and not making your place sus to any nosey parkers.

The way the police dept's are funded/run in the States is different to here as well. Just remember AS A MINIMUM the 3 DONT'S;
1. Don't Tell.
2. Don't Smell.
3. Don't Sell.

Support your local post office. They're getting fucked in the ass coming and going by a congress that wants to purposefully bleed them dry to prove that government doesn't work. I don't believe tactics like this work, especially in this day and age. Treat people with respect and friendliness and they'll have less reason to fuck you over. It can't hurt, the worst case scenario is you've been nice to someone for no reason.

This is exactly what we want. For it to be so Fucking obvious, some may wake up from this Fucking illusion of "government".

Support is futile and limiting for progress. Those with personal attachments to these structures are the only ones who may have beef.

We are bleeding ourselves dry? So they cut Saturday's or whatever. How about we hire illegal aliens to do the job? They are willing to, able to, probably more efficient, and you don't have to stash away Medicare for them, they're illegals! Postal office is a racket, fuck their pensions, vacation days, and ridiculous pay.

We can "climb cliffs" if we want to.

I dont know if these types of things work but in the same conversation my carrier was able to point out no less than 5 growers in my neighborhood. He would never tell but he definately knows who is doin what. Think about it, how many people are paid to get within a few of your home everyday?
