Germinating Old Seed Stock?

I was recently watching a video featuring Steve Tuck on SeedMine.com. Steve was saying that he popped a 35 year old Pakistani strain to make Herijuana. Does anyone know of this technique or a good technique for germinating old seed stock?

maybe the seed was having a midlife crisis and decided it was time to live.

Start with a couple of weeks in the refrigeragtor. Then scuff the break edge of the seeds with light sandpaper or a fingernail file, soak in gently warm water for 1-2 days, transfer to wet paper towels, keep fingers crossed, pray to the Great Canagod for fair germs...

Wish my ancient genetics collection would hit their midlife crises and come out horny as hell.
