Pollinating Preflowers

I tried this last grow, a male was in full bloom in the flowering room with a female with preflowers, chopped the male before any other female flowers were showing. Now I've got about 300 seeds and seedless bud.

Anyone use this technique for seed production inside or out?

The F1 is a kiwi seeds Mexican Haze F2 (20wk Mango flav Haze pheno) x DNA Chocolope

Anyone like the sound of these?

Sounds like a crazy hybrid you made.

I did this by accident once,it was awesome.
But it could go really bad if you messed up the timing, not sure I would do it on purpose.

Sounds like a great technique :)

At the same time it seems like sufficient evidence to stop calling them "preflowers"
as if they were in some way SPECIAL
not just the first normal flowers.

This practice works good for autoflowering strains.

You get seeds for the next generation and decent yields. ;)

Which brings to mind something I've been pondering is for how long does this pollen remain viable at normal room temps? Go in and dust on some fat bushes in veg with as many nodes as possible just before flip or veg for as long as it would take for remaining pollen to become nonviable... Good way to get a test population before contributing entire plants to seed.
