Hey!
Welcome to the new PaqueteMan series. This time I'm adding a new 400W HPS light that I find handy because it can be also set at 200W or 300W. The reason for using it apart from being inexpensive is that in the winter the temperatures are a little low in the growroom and the HPS heats it up to create a warmer environment. Besides, I think both lights help create a nice light spectrum for the plants.
There are 14 plants in total eight Shiskaberries and six Tijuanas. I picked those varieties simply because I enjoy the high and the aroma so much. Quality was the only thing I had in mind when I ordered the clones a couple months ago.
I say this because there are some other aspects to take into consideration that I just ignored, namely the wildy different growing patterns of Shiskas and Tijuanas. Shiskaberry grows a little more than a normal Indica and Tijuana is just a crazy plant. It's a Sativa that will keep growing until the end of the fifth week of 12/12, long stems sprouting all over the place. I keep tying and supercropping them to keep them from getting too high. A SCROG would probably make it easier for them.
This grow has been going for five and a half weeks so far. Nine days of continuous light and a little over four weeks of 12/12. The HPS light was at 200W when vegging and for the first week of flowering. Then I set it at 300W for three weeks until the start of week five that was set at full power (400W). That makes 70W + 70W + 400W = 540W until I set it back down to 300W in the last week or couple of weeks.
I hope the Tijuanas don't grow much anymore, they've already taken up all the room I have for them. It's so crowded I even had to take one Tijuana out of the grow room the other day due to lack of space. Well, see it for yourself.
Cheers!
